NUTS AND BOLTS: PWG DVD RELEASES, NEW INDY MESHES MMA AND PRO WRESTLING, JAPW TEASES BIG SURPRISE, THE SAT, BOOKER T & MORE

Former ECW Original Chilly Willy has formed a new independent promotion designed to mix professional wrestling and Mixed Martial arts, titled Tap This Promotion.  The first show was held on 6/21 at ABI's MMA Studio in Goldsboro, NC (www.abismma.com) with the main event featuring Leroy Green defeating Bounty in a match that started in a traditional wrestling behind ending up in an MMA cage (the school has both).  The hope is to mesh the styles to do something unique and original on the local independent scene.

Jersey All Pro Wrestling has been heavily teasing that a former JAPW champion will return to the company on Saturday 6/28 in Jersey City, NJ.  Based on the way they are hyping it, if it was anyone beyond former ROH star Danny Maff (who started here and has disappeared from the scene) or Low Ki returning from his injuries (which would be miraculous but given his sense of drive, nothing would shock me), it's going to be a letdown in my opinion.  Announced for 6/28 is Christian Cage vs. Jimmy Rave, JAPW champion Kenny Omega (who beat Ki for the belt) vs. Grim Reefer, LAX vs. The Maximos and Danny Demanto vs. Eddie Kingston.

The Pasadena Citizen featured an article today on Booker T's PWA running their regular card this Friday at the Pasadena Civic Center in Texas at this link, tying it into the shows run by the legendary Paul Boesch for years in that city.
