Was Masato Tanaka ever offered a WWE contract, or considered for one, especially after his performance at the first One Night Stand? Do you think there's any chance we might see him in the future?
No on both accounts.
Do the old ECW DVD releases have the original songs for the wrestlers? For Example, ECW Wrestlepalooza 97' & Heatwave 98'. I just wondered if they used the real music like they used on the tv shows, such as Metallica, Pantera, and AC/DC etc.?
With the exception of New Jack's Dr. Dre/Ice Cube "Natural Born Killaz" which Pioneer Home Video acquired the rights to, no. Pioneer did acquire the rights to the Motorhead cover of "Enter Sandman" that appeared on an ECW CD, but beyond that, many of the entrances on the DVDs were either removed or had the music tracks removed due to rights concerns.
WWE will create a DVD at some point that will be a retrospective of MVP's wrestling career. Will WWE acknowledge the matches he was in with Chris Benoit? I can't see any way they can ignore them. Can you? How many years will have to pass before Benoit's matches will be acknowledged by WWE?
World Wrestling Entertainment can and will ignore MVP's feud with Chris Benoit. The official edict is that Benoit's matches will only be released in complete form on DVDs featuring complete PPVs to maintain the complete event, particularly in main events he appeared in. Benoit will not be utilized in any footage that is featured on DVD compilations as the company doesn't want to be seen as exploiting a murderer. I don't believe we'll ever see that edict change.
What ever happened to former ECW/WWE/TNA Spike Dudley (Matt Hyson)? Is he still wrestling? I saw a picture of him from his website. He certainly has changed. What's the latest on him?
Matt Hyson is still wrestling on the independent scene and operates a wrestling school in the Rhode Island area, where he's originally from. On 7/26, he's advertised to take place in a signing with "brothers" Ray and Devon in New York.
If WWE wanted to buy TNA, legally, can they? Since TNA
is not a publically
traded company, how would all of that work out?
It would work out like any other purchase. If the person who owns it agrees to a sale, then they sell it. I don't see the Carter family willing to sell TNA, especially as it really looks to have turned the corner over the last 18 months from a financial standpoint.
