NUTS AND BOLTS: LOTS OF WRESTLING DVD NEWS, CABLE NETWORK PASSES ON PRO WRESTLING, CROWBAR, JASMIN ST. CLAIR - AUTHOR AND MUCH MORE

For whatever reason, the G-4 Network has officially passed on several professional wrestling-based pilots, decreeing it's not the direction they want to take the network in.  There was an English-based Lucha project filmed last year in Tijuana as well as a Kaiju Big Battel (the comedic live event that combines wrestling with monster suits in the vein of the classic Godzilla films) pilot that were under consideration.  The network has also passed on some proposed MMA concepts as well.

Add former ECW star and 3PW owner Jasmin St. Clair to the list of those working autobiography projects.  I hope everyone who has a book coming out sends a free signed copy to Mick Foley, because without the success and quality of his first book Blood and Sweatsocks, none of them would have had the doors opened for the calvacade of books we've seen since 1999.

TNA star James Storm will appear on the latest online TV episode of Dory Funk Jr.'s Ocala, Florida-based !Bang! promotion.  To watch the episode, visit www.dory-funk.com.

Big Vision is also working on the DVD release of the XPW: Cold Day in Hell reunion show from 5/24.  A 2 DVD version will be released in August, while a Blu-Ray version is set for a November release.

The Ultimate Insiders "Last Call" DVD features Sandman and Raven "in a bar" and will feature cameos from The Gangstas and Terry Funk.  

Where Are They Now: Former WCW Hardcore champion Devon "Crowbar" Storm still regularly appears for Jersey All Pro Wrestling and several smaller independent companies, but wrestles more for the fun of being around the business than any attempt to gain a contract with a national company.  Outside of the ring, Crowbar owns and operates several physical therapy clinics in the Garden State and celebrated the birth of his first son with his wife several months back.  Crowbar will be appearing at this Saturday's Fanslam.  For information, visit www.fanslamwrestling.com.
