Why is Dan The Beast Severn still fighting at nearly 50 yrs of age? Most guys in any fighting sport (Boxing, Wrestling, and MMA) are retired by 40 something or even earlier in boxing.
The only answer I can think of is that he loves what he does and can still make a buck at it, so he doesn't want to quit yet. As I get closer to that birthday I say more power to him.
Had Jeff Hardy not been suspended, what were the plans for him at and after Wrestlemania? I know that he was slated to win the MITB match and then cash it in later that evening during the triple threat match for the World Heavyweight championship. But was he slated to win the title and have a lengthy reign? Thanks and keep up the great work on the site.
All I know for sure is that he was slated to win MITB. Aside from that I can't say what their plans for him were. I don't know when he would have cashed it in or whether he would have won the belt.
Is there another position Stephanie McMahon could fill with WWE? I know she'll never be fired, but with the creative as stagnant as it's been for as long as it's been, it's obvious she's not really cut out for the job and should be moved within the company. If this were to happen, who would you suggest as a replacement for her? I know that Vince is the final word, but having someone in the head creative position that doesn't completely mirror his view of the business could only improve things.
Sure, there are plenty of other positions she could fill but she has the one that she wants. And to be fair, there have been some people in creative that have battled with Vince on the company's direction recently, such as Paul Heyman. But unlike 10 years ago when they were in a war with WCW, they aren't in one now so Vince had been less apt to listen to dissenting opinions. There has been a lot of talk that with the recent slide in ratings, that may be changing. I guess we will just have to wait and see on that.
I was watching KOTR 93 on WWE 24/7 and I was wondering why WWE blurs out the scratch but, not the block logo? I mean what's the difference?
The difference is that the old logo was not subject to WWE's dealings with the World Wildlife Fund, but the scratch logo was. In a nutshell, the Fund went to court during the Attitude era which made that logo part of the case. The company's previous logo was not. When WWE lost their case against the Fund, they could no longer market the scratch logo.
Jerry the King Lawler's laptop. Does it serve any purpose? Does he use it during the broadcast to assist him in calling the match in the ring or does it just stay on the WWE homepage and get shown from time to time essentially as a prop for segments such as logging in for the McMahon Million Dollar Mania?
It is basically a prop that is used for on camera segments to promote the company website. He really doesn't have a lot of time to do research during the live Raw. It wouldn't shock me if he checked sports scores during his breaks however.
