PWINSIDER Q&A: A SISTER FOR UNDERTAKER & KANE, CM PUNK, CENA ON THE MIC AND MORE

By Buck Woodward on 2008-06-13 10:00:00

Has WWE Creative ever considered giving Undertaker and Kane a sister to feud with Vickie and Edge?

I don't know if a "sister of the darkness" would work, but WWE has re-written Undertaker and Kane's family history enough they could probably get away with it.  Seriously, I have never heard of WWE considering such an idea.

A question and a comment. CM Punk, the MITB winner, is going nowhere. Since WWE must know (you would think) that fans are just waiting to jump on board whenever he gets his shot, is it possible they are going to hot-shot his title match somewhere down the road? After all if he keeps losing or being ignored, it might drag some fans back if he beats, say, HHH out of nowhere on a PPV. My comment is that after over 30 years of watching wrestling almost religiously, I have reached a point where I read your reports on the shows while I am on the road (I drive a truck) and decide when I get home if I want to waste my time on them or not. There's been nothing original on WWE in forever, and TNA's booking is sometimes so stupid it can ruin the good matches they do have. I think instead of $1,000,000 giveaway, how about if you get a chance to be "Creative" for a period of time? Sure can't be worse than what they are doing. Thanks for the site, if it wasn't for you guys I probably wouldn't even be watching any more.

At this point, given how CM Punk is being booked, the only thing that remotely makes sense would be to hotshot his title opportunity and have it come "out of nowhere".  They certainly haven't done anything with Punk to "build him up" for the title win.

I was wondering if , and that is a big if, If Undertaker went to Raw it would help the ratings? I mean , he has not been part of the Raw roster in forever. But I hear you can't have HHH and him in the same locker room, and plus, HHH won't go to Smackdown. So, if it came down to it, and if Vince had to, would he make HHH go to Smackdown to help the company? Your thoughts.

I think that, given the ratings decline, it might not be a bad idea to put Undertaker on Raw for a while.  I would think that Undertaker and Triple H are more than professional enough to co-exist on the same brand together.  I don't know if Vince would move HHH to Smackdown, but I could see him having Taker and HHH on Raw, and just keep their storylines separate.

Do you think Cena and/ or creative does him a disservice when he is on the mic? I am watching him call the Hardy - HHH match on Raw last night and all he kept doing is praising HHH. It got me thinking and I remember him doing the same with Edge, HBK and Orton. In my opinion this makes him look incredibly weak and is part of the reason the crowd isn't behind him.

I agree.  I understand that they are trying to put Cena over as the babyface who "takes his opponents seriously and gives respect where it is deserved", but when the opposition isn't returning the praise, it just makes you look like an intimidated wimp.  I'd much rather see Cena throwing out some insults, like back in his U.S. Champion days.

I was wondering about Mr Kennedy. It seems he is getting a push. Any gold in his future?

It seemed that way when he returned, but then the feuds with William Regal and Paul Burchill seem to have moved him away from a title run.  Personally, I'd like to see Kennedy get a feud with Chris Jericho over the Intercontinental Title, since it appears he is now a babyface and thus won't be challenging Triple H right now.
