How/Why is the Undertaker featured on the Night of Champions poster, with the World title over his shoulder? If Batista is facing Edge at the PPV, how is Undertaker supposed to get the title? Care to shed some light on what is actually happening to the Undertaker? Is his "banishment" just an angle, or is he actually done?
The problem with making PPV posters for WWE is that they have to be done a few months in advance. That means that they have to guess where they will be storyline-wise by the time the show comes around. At the time that poster was made, the plan we heard was for Taker to hold the belt for a while. Then, the plan changed and they were stuck with some posters that don't make much sense. Taker is now taking time off from what I have been told. He is not done with the company.
The draft where HHH was picked by Smackdown and then traded back to Raw, did he change his mind about going there?
As I remember it, they just did it to get people talking. They wanted to use the picking of a top name to get a buzz but they didn't have any plans of actually leaving HHH on Smackdown. It's clear internally that Raw is the company's top show and they want to keep HHH there (and he wants to be there as well) since he is one of, if not, their top names. Also, while he has a lot of power, it's not just his call to say "I don't want to go there". He has to convince his father-in-law too.
Do you think is there any chance that HHH might get moved to Smackdown in the draft?
HHH is a popular subject today. I guess there is a chance of him moving but I don't see it happening, for a few reasons. One, Raw is the company's flagship show and the ratings are down. Moving HHH at this time would seem to be a bad move since he is, seemingly at least, one of the company's biggest draws. Also, once September comes, Smackdown's viewership penetration will drop. I don't see the point in moving him to a show that less people will be able to see.
In a First Blood Match, what would happen, i.e., what would the referee do if the wrestler booked to win accidentally cut himself open hard way and it was obvious to the fans that he was bleeding first?
At that point, if they couldn't hide it either the booker would have to come up with an idea quickly and get it to the referee or the ref would just have to call the match the way everyone saw it end. The thing that could happen is for the ref to get bumped "before he saw" the blood, allowing both guys to bleed and then let them take it from there. But, if it was obvious that the wrong guy won, they would have to roll with that.
I really enjoyed ECW this week, I found it a very good entertaining hour or so, with some good matches and some very good storyline developments. Obviously the General Manager change and the Kane, Miz, Morrison angle stand out. My question is... Why can't they put together a good show like that most weeks instead of the same out ECW which i do not usually pay a great deal of attention to?
That, my friend, is the million dollar question. I wish I had the answer. It seems so easy to do!
