Do you think that the WWE will ever have developmental territories In Japan, India, Europe, S. America? or Australia?
I tend to doubt that WWE will ever have developmental territories in foreign countries, only because of the inconvenience it would present for the creative team or WWE officials when it comes to visiting them to check out the talent. I know WWE has teased the idea of opening one in Europe, and maybe it will happen in the future, but to me, a developmental system works best when the WWE can be "hands on" with it and send down agents or wrestlers to work with and evaluate the talent on a regular basis.
I have been a wrestling fan for over 20 years, and writing this I may come off like a 36 year old out of touch with the times, but I cannot understand the popularity of Cryme Tyme. On a recent episode of Raw, other than Triple H and maybe Jeff Hardy, these guys got the biggest ovation of the night. Why? Neither of them are particularly good workers, they're not funny, they have a horrible gimmick (we'll steal from whoever and make money off of it) and unlike the other tag teams, they have never been laid out by anybody. Why do WWE creative and the fans love these guys so much?
I would simply state that they aren't your cup of tea. I think you are underestimating them as workers, as I think they are far better than you are giving them credit for. They haven't been put in a position to have any classic matches, but then again, what tag team in WWE is? As for not being funny, that's a matter of opinion. I personally felt the original Cryme Tyme vignettes were ridiculously stupid, because there was no humor to them. However, their gimmick of "auctioning" stuff has proven to be worth more than a few chuckles. Again, I think it is just a matter of preference. As for WWE creative loving them, I wouldn't say that. There's been several weeks where Cryme Tyme gets no TV time at all. If WWE really liked them they'd be featured a lot more often.
What if WWE creative plays up the idea that Ted DiBiase Jr is so good he can team with anyone to win the tag belts? In fact he challenges Miz and Morrison on Raw the night of the Draft Lottery. By getting the belts off M&M it sets up the stage for the tag team to get split as well. Than TDJ challenges the Raw tag champions to a unification match whereupon the belts get floated and defended between all three brands.
Sure. I'm all for combining the tag belts, especially given the lack of respect and time the tag belts get on Raw these days.
Here's another one from the "Let it go, already!" file: How do you think each of the Big 3 national promotions would have fared during the Monday Night Wars had their respective leaders been in charge of the opposition instead? Would either Bischoff or McMahon been able to do with ECW what Heyman accomplished? Would Vince have tried the nWo angle and made WCW number one? Would Eric have worked with Austin and Foley to get the WWF back on top? And would Paul E. have made WCW the home of the hardcore revolution, or would he have followed the WWF Attitude formula like Vince did?
That's quite the hypothetical you got there. First of all, Vince McMahon has never looked to Japan for creative ideas, so I doubt he would have tried an NWO concept. Likewise, Eric Bischoff was the guy who let go of Steve Austin and Mick Foley, so why would he push them? Paul Heyman had to deal with WWF and WCW constantly picking off his top talent, so he rarely got to book with a steady roster. There's just a ridiculous number of variables to consider.
How many years was Dennis Condrey a member of the The Midnight Express with Bobby Eaton?
I believe Condrey and Eaton's run as the Midnight Express lasted about four years, starting near the end of 1983 and lasting until March of 1987.
