Hi, a few weeks ago you reported that Rasche "Skullkrusher" Brown and Matt Bentley were in FCW for WWE tryouts. Is it safe to say that these individuals will be signed? I haven't heard anything since word broke and usually that means that WWE is not interested.
As of this writing, I haven't heard whether either talent will be signed to WWE deals. The feeling among those I spoke to was that they would be shocked if Bentley was not signed as he's always been considered a solid in-ring performer and he has a relationship with Shawn Michaels, which is always a plus.
Do you ever see Flair coming back out as a Manager? With all of the great promo's that he has cut over the years, you think that would be a way to get him back on the air without him ever having to wrestle. Or is the era of managers gone by the way side.
Honestly, I can totally see that, especially if they use Ric as a vehicle to help introduce Reid Flair to the main roster down the line. I think that would be the best way to make use of Ric Flair's talents. It all goes down to whether Flair wants to keep himself on the road now that he's retired, although if anyone deserved the opportunity to work nothing but TV and PPV, as Vickie Guerrero does, it's Flair.
I was watching YouTube last night and saw that there were a few videos dated from October 1997 (apparently, although the Montreal Screwjob was mentioned so maybe the dates are wrong). These videos consisted of Jim Cornette basically shooting on whatever he fancied (Icons, Phil Muschnik etc). I was wondering if there was a story behind this or just a thing that certain people thought would be funny?
During the period where WCW was dominating the Monday Night Wars era, Jim Cornette was given the chance to go on WWF TV to basically rant and shoot in an attempt to garner attention for the company during a period where they were vying for attention and failing badly. It was one of those instances where the company was throwing everything they could at the wall, hoping it would stick and this segment, while really entertaining for insider fans especially, wasn't one of those ideas that did.
Who wrote all of those "wonderful" theme songs in WCW before Jimmy Hart came to WCW in 1994? Did Jimmy Hart write all of the theme songs in WCW once he signed with WCW until it closed?
A lot of that music was written by Michael Hayes and his partner at Grand Theft Records. Pretty much all the early 1990s music from the WCW Slamjam CD era came from that partnership. Once Hayes departed and Jimmy Hart came into the company alongside Hulk Hogan, he wrote all of the original music the company used when they weren't utilizing clone versions of pop music hits.
I have a question regarding Big Daddy V. He has received a pretty substantial push this past year and has been a loyal employee to the company for many years, off and on. I was just wondering if he has heat backstage and as a result, was not included in the pre-Wrestlemania battle royal. Stevie Richards just replaced Matt Striker, but why was Striker, who is a non-wrestler at this point and V's manager, in the match as a participant in the first place?
We've heard Big Daddy V was pulled from Wrestlemania due to a bad case of pneumonia and has been given time off to get himself healthy. Striker was pulled from the bout so people wouldn't openly notice V wasn't in the match, plus there was a feeling that Richards deserved the match more as he had more tenure and it "was" an ECW bout.
