Which superstars do you think would benefit or like to see switch brands?
Lately, I've been thinking that Umaga could use a change of scenery, and I think an Undertaker-Umaga feud on Smackdown could be a lot of fun. I also think the time has come for CM Punk to be moved permanently off ECW so that he can face a variety of opponents and have his stock rise in the eyes of the fans.
Has WWE ever tried or have any interest in inducting Lou Thesz, Frank Gotch, George Hackenschmidt, Gorgeous George or anyone else that I missed that was not in the WWE before the WWE was in existence, but did have an impact on Pro Wrestling into the WWE Hall of Fame?
I've never heard of any interest in inducting those names specifically, but as WWE continues to expand the Hall Of Fame outside of those with direct connections to WWE, it would seem to make sense to induct the different pioneers of the business at some point.
You always tell us who the locker room cancers are, but who are some of the guys and gals in recent WWE history who are/were universally loved by the their counterparts? I don't mean those who are simply respected as workers, but those who are considered genuinely likable people who get along with everybody--workmanship aside.
I never heard anyone say a bad word about Molly Holly, ever.
Whatever happened to Al Perez? I recall him being a pretty solid mid-card wrestler and I think he even had a brief run in WWE…. Is this accurate? What do you think prevented him from getting to the top of the card (in general) or advancing in WWE (in particular)?
I believe Al Perez is now involved in some sort of construction work in Florida, although that information may be outdated. He was a very solid hand who probably had his best run in World Class as a headliner. He was managed by Gary Hart in WCW, but never rose above mid-card status. He fared worse in WWF, where he never got past opening matches. A solid hand, he just wasn't spectacular enough to separate himself from the pack.
Last year the botches were not as eye catching as this year. Recently botches was so apparent on Raw and Smackdown matches taking place on Coach's Pedigree and all Deuce & Domino tag team matches and the Tribute to the Troops where Cena botched badly his finisher on the boss. WWE requires 5 years of training before they can even send in a tape. WCW and ECW was a tool of training for many who are with WWFE. No one is gonna be perfect in the ring 24/7 and who would expect amateur botches on Raw and Smackdown every week? Can you shed some light?
Honestly, I think your eye has just become better trained in picking out moves that don't look as good or as crisp. There's always been moves that were "botched" or didn't look right, it is just part of the business.
