My question deals with DVD releases. I know the brass in WWE are not big fans of concepts they don't create, but I was curious about a War Games set on DVD. I would think there would be a moderately strong market out there for a compilation of these matches on DVD, but would WWE ever release it to the masses on a two or three disc set? Once again, keep up the good work guys!
I think it would sell fairly well but I don't know how highly it would rank on the company's list of DVDs that they want to produce. I think they would prefer to focus on their own concepts for now. Down the road, it may happen but I don't see that taking place any time soon.
I am watching WWE 24/7 and they have a house show from the LA Arena from April 1988. One match is Barry Horowitz vs. The Blue Angel. The guy under the mask seems to be Owen Hart but I am not sure. Did they do Blue Angel then change to Blue Blazer?
I vaguely remember in the 80's Missy Hyatt had a very brief run in the then WWF. I believe she hosted a segment called "Missy's Manor". My question why was her stint there so short and how many appearances did she actually make for the company?
I don't remember the exact number of appearances she made but she didn't last long there. They brought her in to host Missy's Manor, with Vince McMahon thinking it could be another Piper's Pit. It wasn't and it was a role she wasn't suited for. In essence, she had become popular in southern territories playing a spoiled rich girl/heel manager character and much like The Fabulous Freebirds, she didn't really mesh well with the kind of product that the WWF was doing back then. I think she could have gotten over a lot better if she were used in a different role.
With Ric Flair's retirement party being so great on WWF/E RAW, do you see TNA doing the same thing with Sting since he wrestled mainly for the NWA, WCW and TNA? I could see TNA bringing Luger, The Steiner Brothers, Bagwell and others into Sting's retirement party. But do you see this happening?
I don't know if I see it happening but I think it would be great if it did. We never really got to see retiring wrestlers get sendoffs in the past, largely because so many of them never really retired (and some who did came back a lot of times). Sting is the kind of guy that I think when he says he's done, he will mean it. He would be a great candidate to give a Flair-like send off to.
You may get asked this a lot and if you have answered it, I have not seen it so here we go. The Edge/Vickie relationship on Smackdown. How much of that is storyline/work and how much of it is real life/shoot that is being made into a storyline?
Nope, this is the first time I have gotten this one. It's a total work.
