Who has a better chance to actively return to the WWE? Christian, Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, RVD or someone I haven't named here?
Well, I won't even get into someone you haven't named because you haven't named them! In the case of Angle, he left under less than great circumstances and hasn't done much to ingratiate himself to WWE since going to TNA, so he's the last one I could see returning. Nash is close with a lot of people in power but if they wanted him, they could have had him already. So, that leaves Christian and RVD. Both were tired of WWE's schedule when they left the company (though Christian also felt there was no push in his future there). Christian kept working while RVD didn't, which leads me believe that of the two, Christian would be more likely to come back at this point, especially if it's in a top position.
Over the years, the WWE has brought in many people or created characters whose original purpose to was to be fodder for the Undertaker. Of these, that I can recall, two were successful long term characters, Mankind and Kane. Mick Foley ha d along career before WWE so people knew what he could do, but what about Kane? When Glen Jacobs made his debut as Kane, considering his previous lack of success with his old gimmicks, did anyone think he would end up being a main event character, and having such a long successful WWE career? Or was he considered to be just another short term character that would fade off after his feud with Taker was over?
I can't speak for anyone in creative but Kane had worked in the business for years before doing that role. He worked down in Smoky Mountain Wrestling as Unabomb for Jim Cornette, then was Dr. Isaac Yankem in the WWF, before getting his signature role. So, he wasn't an unknown my any means. They also put a lot of time into the character so I believe the hope was that it would get over for the long term.
I'm a huge Chris Benoit fan. And I wonder what do you think about WWE trying to remove him from their record books and possibly never getting into the Hall of Fame?
I have no problem with it. Certainly they would be insane to ever induct him into the Hall of Fame. Despite what he did in the ring, you just don't ever honor a double murderer, and that is what Benoit is. As for removing him from footage, I can see their point of view. They don't want to be connected to a man that killed his family and I understand their point of view.
I have a question regarding the location for Wrestlemania XXV. Seeing that it's the 25th anniversary of the event, would you agree that it would have been more appropriate for the WWE to hold it in New York at Madison Square Garden, where it all began, as opposed to Houston?
No, I sure wouldn't. The Garden is a very expensive building to run in, plus they can only seat about 1/3 of what they can in a football stadium. That is just far too much in live gate money to give up. Running Mania at the Garden would be a nostalgic idea that is wrong for business.
A couple of questions on Ken Kennedy. I've noticed that he hasn't appeared on Raw for the past couple of weeks and on shows before Wrestlemania where has he been? When he comes back what do you think WWE should do with him?
He has been down in Puerto Rico filming a direct-to-DVD movie. That is why he hasn't been on TV. When he finishes up, he will be back in WWE as an upper mid-card heel. I think sooner or later he will also get a chance to see how he can do at the top of the card.
