PWINSIDER Q&A: SHAWN MICHAELS, THANKING WWE, RIC FLAIR, ANGLE VS. KONG AND MORE

Do you get the uneasy feeling that Shawn Michaels may continue to receive heat from fans because he defeated Ric Flair at Wrestlemania 24 eventually leading to his retirement?

Not at all.  I think the majority of fans are happy that Michaels gave Flair a great match to end his career with.  I think Michaels is far more likely to get heat for Montreal than he is for retiring Flair.

Have you seen an increase in traffic on your site as a result of WWE putting some of your reports on their industry news section of wwe.com? If so then have you sent a thank you note to the WWE.

I don't believe we've had any noticeable increase on days WWE includes us in their Industry News section.  However, I will be happy to send them a thank you note the same day that I get one for naming the STFU (a phrase I used on this site long before WWE announcers called the move by that name).

I was watching the Condemned and for some reason started to wonder: Does the WWE's Wellness Policy cover the performers that work on their films (i.e. could they have tested Vinnie Jones if they chose to), and are office staff subject to the policy?

WWE's Wellness Policy concerns their wrestling performers, not the Film company.

Now that the legend Ric Flair has officially retired from professional wrestling after a long and very distinguished career, does he now work full time behind the scenes with the WWE and what will be his official title?

Ric Flair will be working as a goodwill ambassador and will be doing a lot of public relations work for the company.  I don't believe there is an "official title" for what he will be doing.

I read that report of the interview given by Kurt Angle where he suggested to Jeff Jarrett the possibility of taking on Women's Knockout champion Awesome Kong where his idea was rejected. If such a match were to take place, who do you got? Kong or Angle?

Whoever the booker wants to win?  Seriously, if you were to book the match, it would seem to make sense to have Kong win in classic King vs. Riggs style.  However, I've never heard of any company who had their top star lose to a female performer without a lot o f interference.  Then again, it is TNA, so there's usually a lot of interference in their main events anyway!
