PWINSIDER Q&A: WRESTLERS AND AUTOGRAPHS, WRESTLEMANIA RUNNING ORDER, SHOW VS. MAYWEATHER AND MORE

This is more of a statement than a question. I just read Rob Van Dam's Blog stating that he would not "Prostitute" himself for autographs and Polaroid's. I have heard Buff Bagwell say the same thing. As a Pro Wrestling Fan of 27 years, I do not understand this way of thinking. When I meet a wrestler like Tito Santana ,Greg Valentine and Edge, They were always friendly and those autograph sessions hardly resemble Prostitution. These are just wrestling fans meeting their heroes and getting a chance to talk with them. I have met about 100 wrestlers from either the WWF/E, NWA, TNA, WCW, ECW, UWF, AWA, WCCW as well as some indy wrestlers. They were all nice to me and my wife. In my eyes, Prostitution means selling yourself sexually for money. That is not what wrestling autograph signings are about!! So maybe I am missing something. Do any of you at PWInsider.com have any idea what Rob Van Dam and Buff Bagwell mean by not "Prostituting themselves for autographs and Polaroid's?? It sounds sick to me. What do you think??

I think you are sticking too closely to the textbook definition of "prostitution".  While I won't speak for RVD or Bagwell, I think what they are referring to is wrestlers who will charge for pictures and autographs at all times.  There are some wrestlers that will never sign an autograph unless some money is going in their pockets, while others (and Van Dam is a great example of this) will go out of his way to sign autographs and pose for pictures for free.

Why are WWE saying Flair is the first active wrestler in the Hall of Fame? Hogan wrestled loads of times after he was inducted and still is active today.

Obviously, a lot of wrestlers have been inducted into the Hall Of Fame only to return to the ring after the fact.  What WWE means is that Flair is the first active wrestler working a full-time schedule for WWE to be inducted into the Hall Of Fame.

Looking at the Wrestlemania lineup at this point, what order do you put the matches in, assuming no other matches are added, and that the Money In The Bank Winner doesn't cash in that night.  I want your personal take, not what you think WWE will do.

Left totally to my own devices, here is how I would run the card:

1st Match: Batista vs. Umaga.
2nd Match: Money In The Bank: Jeff Hardy vs. Ken Kennedy vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Chris Jericho vs. Carlito vs. three opponents to be named.
3rd Match: Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather.
4th Match: WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. Triple H vs. John Cena.
5th Match: Playboy Bunnymania Lumberjack Match: Maria & Candice Michelle vs. Beth Phoenix & Melina.
6th Match: Fit Finlay vs. JBL.
7th Match: World Champion Edge vs. The Undertaker.
Introduction of Hall Of Fame Honorees to the crowd.
8th Match: Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels.  If Ric Flair loses, he must retire.

If Vince McMahon called you up and said he needed five inductees (besides those already in or going in) for the Hall Of Fame, who would you tell him to put in?

Bruiser Brody, Terry Funk, Dynamite Kid, Stan Hansen and The Road Warriors.  Actually, I'd probably say Bruno Sammartino and Randy Savage just to mess with him.

If Big Show and Floyd Mayweather were to have a legit fight, say under UFC rules, who would win?

Show would destroy him.  Floyd could run away for a while, but sooner or later Show would get a hand on him and it would be done.  With Show's size advantage, Mayweather would never get a chance to even try and punch Show in an attempt for a knockout.
