PWINSIDER Q&A: MSG CLASSICS, HHH BREAKING FLAIR'S RECORD, SPORTATORIUM AND MORE

Are there plans to bring back 'WWE Presents MSG Classics' on the MSG network? I thought it was a great show and brought back a lot of welcome memories.

As of right now, the plan is for the show to return this summer when MSG once again is in need of programming to fill their schedule following hockey and basketball season.

Do you think WWE is eventually going to have HHH break Ric Flair's record-setting number of World Title reigns? Sure seems they're headed that way. What are your thoughts on the matter?

Do I think Triple H will eventually hold the WWE/World Title more than 16 times?  Absolutely.  Do I think it matters?  Not really.  During the 1990's, the top title changed hands so frequently, I don't think anyone puts as much weight behind those reigns as they do the reigns of the 1980's, when a wrestler usually had a much longer title reign.  In the case of Ric Flair, a group of promoters, not just one booker, had to agree for him to be the traveling World Champion for the NWA, so it was a lot more of a struggle to be champion multiple times.

I was recently watching an old HHH DVD and he said when he had his quad injury, WWE sent a ring to him so he could work off his ring rust. So my question is, who makes the rings WWE uses and how many rings does WWE have in their possession? Like, do they have a warehouse of 50 rings packed away incase they need one or what?

I don't know who makes their rings, but I can tell you that WWE has many rings, some that are stored in warehouses in various locations (including overseas) and some that are "on the road" right now. I believe this is still the case, but I know for certain at one point they always had two complete rings at major events, just in case any part of a ring needed to be replaced.

I was recently watching a “Legends Roundtable” on WWE 24/7 and noticed that JR was smoking a cigarette. For some reason, I couldn’t believe it and it made me wonder. With the exception of Pat Patterson who is known to smoke, do lots of wrestlers smoke cigarettes?

It's not something I really keep track of, but I would say the number of wrestlers who smoke cigarettes would probably be the same as any sampling of the population, maybe a bit less.  I can say that you won't find too many of them smoking anywhere near Vince McMahon, who absolutely hates smoking with a passion.

After WCCW was sold to Jerry Jarrett, who ran the Sportatorium in Dallas TX? Also, how come Vince never ran a show there?

Jerry Jarrett continued to run the Sportatorium under the USWA banner after the angle where Eric Embry and Skandar Akbar ended the "World Class" name.  Later, it was renamed the "Global Arena" when Joe Pedicino's GWF ran there.  As for why WWE never ran a show there, well, to be kind, the place was sort of a dump.  Even in it's best days, it wasn't that nice of a place.
