PWINSIDER Q & A: VINCE CARING ABOUT THE FANS, WRESTLING BELTS, CENA'S SCHEDULE, MANIA AND MORE

I am a huge mark for wrestling belts.  Do you think they will ever release a replica of the NWA, TV Title & the 70's version of the WWWF heavyweight belts.

I doubt WWE will ever do so because of the very limited demand.  It just doesn't make sense to put that time and expense into an item that they won't be able to sell many of.  Your best bet is to go to someone who already sells similar products.  A great place to try looking for title belts is from our friends at Highspots.com.  Click this link to get started.  They may be able to get a belt like that made for you.

I was just wondering, with John Cena filming for a new movie, is he going to be doing house shows also? They're coming to Green Bay and we'd really like to know before we'd buy tickets!

From what I have heard he will not be working house shows. With him filming his new movie, he will only be on TV tapings and PPVs until it's finished.  His schedule will be pretty full down in New Orleans and flying to TV and PPVs is going to be pretty much all he does except for maybe Wrestlemania week.

Is there still a chance for a Hardy vs. Orton match for the WWE title at Wrestlemania?

A chance?  Yes.  How good of a chance, well that I can't say.  That will all be set up at next weekend's PPV.

Here's what I don't get. Why can't WWE seem to find any talented, believable backstage interviewers? I realize you can't exactly go to the corner store and buy a Gene Okerlund, but guys like Okerlund or Sean Mooney asked smart questions and made you interested in the interview. They didn't just stand there with a mic like a dope. Todd Grisham is useless to me. It's like giving a 3rd grader a microphone on career day and letting him ask any question he wants. I was glad to see Mike Adamle added to the roster because he's seasoned and even though he's still getting his WWE bearings, he reminds me in a lot of ways like the old school announcers. Doesn't Vince see this? And a guy like Vince, with a broadcasting background (who was always very good on play-by-play)...how can someone like that allow Coach to even go near a headset?

A lot of it is due to the fact that they are forced to play the roles that WWE creative writes for them.  Back in the day, Mean Gene got bullet points and went out there and did his thing (and was great at it).  He was able to adlib and interact with the talents and it made for better segments.  Today, they send guys like Grisham out there with D grade movie lines to read and no room for him to make adjustments.  Since he isn't very believable to begin with and can't adlib, he just comes across as boring.  As Vince and company went after Adamle, I would hope that means that they are aware of the problem but to really see it would mean that he would have to point a finger for at least part of the blame at himself and creative, and that is something that just doesn't happen very often.

Simple question. With such low ratings, why doesn't the WWE (Vinnie) just take surveys on what the fans WANT to see? They/he can do it via the internet, websites...whatever? Is his ego really THAT huge that he can't take a little help from the people who truly care?

Simple answer: He doesn't care.  Seriously.  When he says on TV that he knows what you like better than you do, he isn't kidding.  He thinks that sites like this represent a small, vocal minority of fans and that the masses really want his vision of what the business is.  To be fair, his ego and hunches got him where he is today so it's understandable that he would listen to them.  But on the other side of the coin, with business down from where it was at its peak, I would certainly be a lot more open to suggestion than he is.
