What do you say about the following: Since Triple H wasn't on both RAWs before No Way Out, WWE can't let him win the elimination chamber. There is no build up regarding him, he can't win the match. Doesn't look good.
I say it doesn't matter if HHH was on Raw or not last week. He is over and if they want him to win, he will (plus, they could always insert a promo into tonight's show since it's taped). Personally, for reasons I have stated many times here, I don't think it's smart to put HHH in the title match at Mania. He is so over that any match he is in will be like a championship bout so it makes more sense to use the WWE belt to get over new guys at the top. Whether WWE will do that, well that is another topic altogether.
Is the following scenario likely (or possibly) to happen?: Jeff Hardy wins the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and then becomes WWE Champion the same evening at WrestleMania 24???
It's funny, we actually talked about that on No Name last week. I think it's possible that it could happen. I would like to think it's likely, but I am a realist. I think if they did it, it would make for one hell of a WrestleMania moment.
Is JBL the best heel in WWE today besides Vince McMahon??? Although I don't like his work in the ring, he comes off on the mic as so heelish. I think, nobody can turn the fans against you like JBL. I recognized, that you favored Edge in this position, but he, while being an absolutely highlight in WWE these days, has way too much fans behind him, because he is too cool.
JBL is not even close to Edge. Just because fans pop for Edge doesn't mean he isn't WWE's best heel. He can't help that his greatness is appreciated. JBL has been a disappointment to me ever since he made his great return (and it was great). But since then, the best thing he has done is stand in the ring and silently take it all in. That was a great segment. Then, he talked, and talked, and talked, and it quickly became tedious. When you follow it up with the slow-motion beatdown he did on Chris Jericho on Raw, JBL hasn't even been close to Randy Orton as a top heel on Raw. He may still have it in him to be great again but he hasn't showed it to me on a regular basis since he returned. He needs to do more than just be a loudmouth to be a truly effective top heel.
Do you know the reaction from TNA regarding the Smackdown situation and what are the chances of SmackDown get their Thursday night slot back and compete with TNA?
Like everyone else, they want to see where Smackdown will end up. They obviously don't want to see them get their Thursday night slot back but WWE would love to get back on what is usually the most-watched night of TV here in the US. I am under the impression that WWE will at least ask about moving to Thursday nights while they are negotiating with a new broadcast partner. And, despite what anyone may say publicly about welcoming the chance to go head-to-head, most people in TNA absolutely hope that they don't end up in that situation as Smackdown does about three times the audience that Impact does and they don't need the competition at a time when they are trying to grow their business.
How would you rate Jonathan Coachman's work as commentator on Friday Night SmackDown so far?? I seem to remember, many people were very upset the time, Coach was announced as replace for JBL. I think so far, he did a solid job.
He has been OK. He hasn't been as bad as I feared he would be but he also hasn't been great either. I really think WWE dropped the ball by not moving Tazz over to Smackdown. Michael Cole was never better in the booth than he was with Tazz. With Coach, he doesn't have anyone who makes him raise the level of his game and often, they engage in factually incorrect rambling (such as them talking about how Shelton Benjamin was undefeated on Smackdown last week). Coach would have been better off learning his way on ECW but Vince loves Coach so he has his spot.
