PWINSIDER Q&A: ULTIMATE X, RICO, VINCE MCMAHON AND MORE

By Buck Woodward on 2008-01-12 10:00:00

Who is the person who does the artwork for the Big Vision releases like Hardcore Homecoming?  They are really great.

That's an artist named Scott Blair, based out of Tennessee.  He's done covers and T-Shirts for all of the Big Vision releases and does a really good job, in my opinion.

I was wondering, what ever happened to Rico, the manager for the Heartthrobs and a former WWE tag champ (with Charlie Haas no less)?

Rico announced his retirement from Pro Wrestling in 2005, and went back into his previous career of law enforcement in Nevada.

What is Armando Alejandro Estrada’s background? Has he wrestled in the past or is he just a manager. Did he come from OVW? If so, what name did he use there?

Estrada came up from OVW, where he used the name Osama Alejandro Rodriquez and wrestled there.  Obviously, WWE saw more in his promo skills and decided to cast him as a manager, pairing him with Umaga and later moved him to the General Manager role on ECW.  To be honest, I think his skills are being wasted right now.

In your opinion, is Vince McMahon a male chauvinist?

I don't know Vince McMahon personally, so I can't say if he is a chauvinist or not.  However, he certainly isn't going to be seen as a champion of women's rights, given that even his most positive female characters, like Trish Stratus, were still portrayed as, for lack of a better term, "sluts", at times.

Who won the first TNA Ultimate X match?

Michael Shane, now known as Matt Bentley, defeated X Division Champion Chris Sabin and Frankie Kazarian in the first Ultimate X match, which was held on August 20, 2003 back when TNA did their PPV events in Nashville, Tennessee.
