PWINSIDER Q&A: VINCE MCMAHON RETIRING, ENTRANCE THEMES, KING OF THE RING AND MORE

By Buck Woodward on 2008-01-05 10:00:00

I have often read where companies had a policy where when someone reaches the age of 65 that person, male or female, is forced into retirement from their respected company. WWE's Vince McMahon is, I believe, 60 years of age. Would you know if the WWE has such a policy? That when Mr. McMahon eventually reaches the age 65, despite the fact that he is the Chairman/Owner of the WWE, does he face such a prospect? To be forced into retirement from his own company?

WWE does not have such a policy, and believe me, no one is ever going to force Vince McMahon to retire except Vince McMahon himself.  And don't bet on that ever happening.

What current WWE superstars that have never won a world championship have what it takes to become world champion material (WWE champion/World heavyweight)?

I would say Umaga, Jeff and Matt Hardy would top the list.  MVP and Kennedy certainly appear to have the tools to be World or WWE Champion someday as well.

What do you believe is the best entrance theme? or entrance themes? from (WWE/WCW/ECW etc).

My personal favorites would have to be "Perfect Strangers" by Deep Purple (Shane Douglas-ECW), Ultimate Warrior's old WWF theme, and KISS' "War Machine" (Taz - ECW) and of course, "Badstreet U.S.A." by Michael Hayes.

What entrance themes from WWE that have never been released should be released in a WWE album complication?

I don't think Badstret U.S.A. has appeared on one, so I will go with that.

Should WWE bring back King of the Ring as a PPV in replace of one of the PPVs? or added?

I absolutely think King Of The Ring should be brought back.  I'm a big fan of tournaments, so either as a long-term television storyline (with the finals on PPV) or as a stand-alone event, I think it should be back.
