Hi guys, do you know what Randy Savage is up to these days? I've heard WWE might do a DVD on him this year but I think they will more than likely bury him like they did the Warrior as they seem to have some issues with him no one knows. I think it's really weird there's never any new photos of him and he's never out in the spotlight doing anything. I don't know what happened the 2007 surreal life he was meant to be doing but I miss the Macho Man.
I don't know about any WWE DVD, but the season of "The Surreal Life" with Randy Savage is set to air on VH-1 this year.
If this has been discussed at any length I apologize for asking, ( though would appreciate a point in the direction to a link of that discussion). But otherwise, I think realistically that Flairs last opponent is on the roster already, thereby eliminating a match with Sting to close his career. I would like to know your thoughts on Flair's final opponent. Should WWE treat it as a way to give a rub to a young guy or have a nostalgia match between Flair and say Ricky Steamboat? I'm curious to see if they will in the end treat Flair's retirement as a storyline, which it appears they will. Or if they will treat it with some pomp and circumstance which Naitch certainly has earned. That being said, I REALLY hope they don't let Orton end Flair's career with his headlock of doom...er I mean sheer and utter boredom!! Just curious for your thoughts.
Personally, I don't think Flair's retirement needs to "give a rub" to anyone, as Flair has done plenty of that in the last few years. I think it should be a celebration of Flair, and he should be allowed to go out with, as you say "pomp and circumstance". You're not the first person to suggest a Flair-Steamboat match, and I think it could be a great way to close out Flair's career. However, I can also understand NOT doing that match, since there is no way the two men could live up to the legacy of their classic battles. Steamboat and Flair never met in the ring once they were past their prime, and some would say that doing a match now would just tarnish what is seen as one of the best series of matches ever.
Ok, I'm sure I'm just one of a few who have written to ask about this, but is there any truth to the rumor that Maria is the next Diva to pose in Playboy? These rumors seem to come out of thin air, but it's getting close to the time when the name is usually revealed. I just don't want to have my hopes up for the lovely Maria and then have them dashed and end up finding out Kelly Kelly is in Playboy because that girl just doesn't have "it". Know what I mean? Hope this rumor is true and since I don't believe anything until I see it on your site. I hope you can provide some confirmation.
Yes, it will be Maria.
Is Christian Cage happy with his time/role in TNA? Who has benefited most from making the move from WWE to TNA?
You'd have to ask him, but I can't imagine he isn't. He is given the opportunity to main event shows on a regular basis, something WWE didn't give him, plus he works a much lesser schedule and hardly has to travel, since he resides in Florida. However, I would say the wrestler that has benefitted the most from going to WWE to TNA is Tomko. He was an undercard wrestler who was virtually ignored in WWE. After being let go from there, he has built himself a nice career in New Japan Pro Wrestling and has been slowly working up the ranks in TNA, to the point that I think the company will do good business with him as a babyface monster (if they go that route).
I just saw a picture of Dusty Rhodes with his face painted half black and half white, from I think his days in Florida, that obviously predated Piper doing it against Bad News in the WWF. Do you know the circumstances surrounding this ? Did it have to do with a feud with The Zambuie Express? Doing research on Florida's heyday, it seems Florida was a hot territory in it's day.
It had nothing to do with skin color at all. Dusty did that in response to Kevin Sullivan, who painted his face half black/half white to represent the struggle between his "dark side" and "light side". It was about good and evil, not black and white. And yes, Florida was a fantastic territory for many years, all the way into the late eighties.
