You site has always maintained that Sting has never worked for the WWF/E. Well could you agree that technically Sting did work once for the WWF/E, during the last match on Nitro. WCW was owned at that time by Vince, so for Sting working that match with Flair would mean that technically he did work one show for Vince?
Sting was under contract to AOL Time-Warner for that bout and for months after that, so I wouldn't agree with that at all.
Why won't Austin vs. Hogan ever happen? I remember at WWE Homecoming in 2005. They even had a Hogan promo saying he wanted to wrestle Austin. Then after that it wasn't even mentioned. Is it because someone won't job to the other or what?
Steve Austin has had no interest in working with Hulk Hogan, partially because of the belief that the match quality would hurt his persona. Since there was never any real definitive plans for the match, it wasn't a case of someone not wanting to lose. In any event, the match will never happen.
There was no reason beyond creative. They simply worked for WWF at a time where Vince McMahon opted to push other tandems at the champions during that era.
When someone, "calls in results," who exactly are they calling?
They are calling whichever member of the staff has agreed to take the results for the taping in question.
I just watched Bound For Glory on DVD. It was a great PPV as you guys said. In watching the Kurt Angle/ Sting match, at the end it looks like Sting missed catching the bat as Angle swung at his face and got hit in the face causing him to bleed hard way. Is that what happened? If so, it was pretty impressive that he showed no sign that he actually got hit and sold it like he caught the swing.
That is indeed what happened. Sting was nailed with an errant hit and busted open.
