We all know John Cena is out injured likely his return will be after Wrestlemania. My question is if Cena stayed healthy what was to be the program for him going into Wrestlemania???? Would he have stayed WWE champ going in?????
I never heard a definite plan for Cena going into Wrestlemania (probably because there wasn't a definite plan yet), but from what I understand they were leaning towards John Cena vs. Triple H, which is the match they wanted for last year's Wrestlemania before Triple H got hurt. Whether Cena was going to keep the title until then is a question we will never know the answer to.
Isn't about time that TNA have an equivalent to the U.S./I.C. title belts? Guys like Tomko, Roode & Kaz etc could make for a really good sub-division building these guys to legitimate TNA World Title contenders. Your thoughts?
They have one, it is called the X-Division Title. TNA has always claimed that the X-Division Title is not about "weight limits" and since Samoa Joe has held the title several times, there is no reason for it not to be seen as the equivalent of the Intercontinental or U.S. Championships.
Now that ECW is a shell of its former greatness, has there been any consideration by the WWE of dropping the ECW name and renaming it something else?
None that I have heard of. ECW is a name that WWE owns, and has a certain recognition factor, so they are using it. At this point, with well over a year invested in the new brand, I don't see them changing it.
I read where Shelton Benjamin is now in ECW. Shouldn't he be on Raw? He deserves to be on Raw showing his tremedous wrestling skills in the ring. I consider this a demotion. Two or show years ago on Raw he defeated Triple H in an exciting and incredible match. On the verge of stardom. Now where is he? ECW. No where land. Why?
On Raw, he was one half of a tag team that rarely got television time, and when they did, they were losing to Super Crazy & Hacksaw Duggan. On ECW, Benjamin gets weekly promo time, singles matches and wins. Raw may be the bigger brand, but I would rather see Shelton get a chance to display his skills in ECW, then when he returns to Raw, it won't be in an undercard enhancement role. I think him being on ECW will give him a chance to shine, and in the long run be better for his career.
I read where Mae Young stated that she would wrestle at the age of 100 to honor of her lifetime friend The Fabulous Moolah. Was she serious?
Absolutely. And I wouldn't bet against her.
