Was Samoa Joes promo on imported WWE wrestlers real or not?
It was a planned promo that TNA management knew he was going to make. Whether you feel the statements he made in that promo are true or not depends on your point of view. Personally, I definitely think there have been former WWE/WCW stars who have used TNA to make a quick paycheck and not made an effort to help the company. However, there are also former WWE/WCW stars who have worked very hard to try and help TNA grow.
I read a question on one of your earlier Q&A's about something called ' The Mass Transit incident'. Could you fill me in on what exactly that was and how it happened? Here's the short version. ECW had a show in Revere, Massachusetts in November of 1996 with D-Von Dudley & Axl Rotten vs. The Gangstas as one of the planned matches. Axl couldn't make the event, so a local wrestler named Mass Transit (real name Eric Kulas, he did a Bus Driver gimmick) who was backstage was put into the match. He, and his father who was with him, lied to the promotion about his age (he was 17, and claimed to be 19) and actually had false documentation to back up his claim. He was asked if he would have a problem bleeding in the match, and he said no. He then went to New Jack and asked New Jack to "gig" him, as he didn't know how to blade himself. During the match, New Jack, rather carelessly, bladed him and he bled a lot. A real lot. However, Mass Transit still got up and assisted Mustafa in bodyslamming him to set up the finish of the bout. In the back, Transit was in good spirits about his performance. However, he later pressed charges and filed a lawsuit against New Jack and ECW for the incident. New Jack was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and found not guilty in criminal court. A civil lawsuit was defeated when a jury heard that Kulas had asked New Jack to blade him during the match. Kulas died on May 12, 2002 following surgery complications, believed to be related to a gastric bypass operation.
With WWE trying to bring all former superstars who were on RAW for its anniversary show, do you see them bringing back Sunny? If I'm not mistaken a while back I read somewhere that WWE was interested doing a photoshoot with her but she declined until she would get back in "Sunny" shape. I have seen her in recent photos and she looks great do you see her showing up on RAW?
I don't know anything about WWE wanting to do a photo shoot with her, but having seen her recently, I can say without a doubt that she is in "Sunny shape" and looks fantastic. I'm sure she would be open to appearing if an offer was made. That said, I don't know if they have made her an offer or not. Certainly, she is one of the more popular Divas of the early Raw years, along with Sable.
NOTE: About two hours after I typed the above answer, Sunny's name was added to the list of talent appearing on Raw this Monday.
I was wondering, on WWE dvd's and on hall of fame inductions, does Vince remind some of the legends not to say WWF? If you remember, Piper said WWF at Mania 21 but they edited it for the video release. A lot of the old timers still refer to it as WWF in shoots so does Vince just make sure they don't say it? Same with referring to Benoit?
Yes, the legends are told prior to the Hall Of Fame to avoid saying WWF during their speeches. If it slips through, WWE will make the edit, but obviously they would prefer to just avoid it being said at all. As for referring to Chris Benoit, obviously WWE does not make reference to him now on shows. It remains to be seen what will happen at the Hall Of Fame, since we haven't had a ceremony since the Benoit Tragedy. I would imagine you probably will not hear his name.
I saw a shoot from 2001 with BG James. It was fresh after he was released from the WWF. When asked about HHH, he said that HHH was always respectful towards him but looked down on him for doing drugs. He then said that HHH has psychology down better than anyone and said he was a good guy. Then, I watched a shoot with the Outlaws together from 2005 where BG dissed Triple H hard and called him a backstabber. What made BG change his mind in these 4 years?
Not knowing BG James personally, I can only venture a guess. One guess is that in 2001 he figured he might end up back in WWE, so he was being politically smart, and now he doesn't think he will ever go back. The other guess is that he wanted to have a more interesting shoot interview and figured ranking on Triple H would make it more popular amongst purchasers.
