Two part question. With Raw's anniversary next week, I'm wondering who you think the Raw Superstar should be? Also who (besides Benoit) would you say was not on the graphic shown on Raw but most deserves to be?
The Raw Superstar should be Steve Austin, although I expect Vince will give it to himself. Austin, in addition to being wildly popular, had longevity during the "Raw years". He began his run at the top during the end of the Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels era, became a megastar during an era with Triple H/The Rock/Mick Foley becoming stars, and was still a top star when guys like Kurt Angle and Booker T came to the top. If the Undertaker hadn't been switched to Smackdown after the brand split, he would be an easy pick, but because of that, I will go with Austin. As for the graphic, I would have probably included Chyna, to be honest. She certainly made a mark during the "Raw Years" in a way that few women have. Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith might have made sense as well, since they were part of some of the best matches of the early Raw era. I would also go with the Hardys.
I have an idea for Petey Williams that might get him off the bench and into storylines more. Why not have Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper make him the new member of XXX? With Senshi leaving it makes sense to replace the spot in the tag team.
Works for me! Despite having the most awesome finishing move in TNA, the company seems to have no idea what to do with Williams. Then again, it seems like they have no idea what to do with XXX most of the time too.
I remember reading someone asked if Jeff Hardy could be in the main event seen and being in the main event at Wrestlemania and you responded with you didn't think that would happen. But I was thinking if they could do it with Rey Mysterio with him winning the Rumble then going ahead and winning the title at Wrestlemania why couldn't the same happen for Jeff. I'm a fan of both not one over the other but I believe Hardy as of now is as popular as Rey so why not. I mean he didn't have to win the title or anything but getting a match would be cool or even have him as the ECW champion.
Perhaps, I should rephrase my answer. Could I see Jeff Hardy in a major title match at Wrestlemania? Yes. Could I see Jeff Hardy winning a major title at Wrestlemania? Yes. Could I see Jeff Hardy in a "main event" at Wrestlemania? Yes. Will Jeff Hardy be in the closing match at Wrestlemania? Not this year. Much like Rey's "main event" didn't close Wrestlemania, the same applies to Jeff, in my opinion, should he get one.
I have been reading this site ever since it started. And when it came to WWE if I missed a show I watched what part you recommend and it has never disappointed me. Then when TNA came to TV I did the same thing. Pretty much if I miss something in wrestling and I can tape it and you say to watch it I do and you have never steered me wrong. I just watched my first ever ROH show via their PPV "MAN UP!" and I want more. Now I know you get this question a lot but if you could narrow it down to five ROH DVDs to buy to get more into ROH which ones would you recommend to buy.
Since you enjoyed the Man Up PPV so much, I would stick to the more recent stuff, then work your way back into the other DVDs from their five-year history. From the last year, I would grab "Good Times, Great Memories" from 4/28/07 and "Fifth Year Festival Finale" first, then their two Japan shows (which I really enjoyed). That's four from 2007, so then I would go back a bit and get the Samoa Joe vs. Kenta Kobashi disc.
This past Monday Kennedy brought out people from Shawn Michaels past. Do you know who was portraying Razor, Marty and Shawn?
They were all independent wrestlers. Marty Jannetty was T.J. Mack, Razor Ramon was Phil Shatter, Diesel was Mikal Judas and Shawn Michaels was Jeff Lewis.
