PWINSIDER Q&A: CARLITO'S WWE RUN ENDING?, STING'S STATUS WITH TNA, MIZ & MORRISON'S BOTCHED ECW SEGMENT & MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2007-11-25 10:00:51

Everyone seems to be all over Miz and John Morrison for their comments at the booth on ECW’s program.  However, they were wearing headsets, and as you all have mentioned before, there are people backstage monitoring what’s been said, etc.  So, my question is who is behind ECW’s headsets that allowed this to happen?

A good portion of the time someone from management, including Vince McMahon himself, are on the headsets, but he's feeling lines to the announcers.  It's possible Morrison and Miz weren't heeding instructions or weren't given direction.  In any event, the segment fell apart, leading to the issues between JBL and John Morrison.

Rumors are going all over about Carlito being lazy, and even going as far as asking for his release.  Now, I am waiting for you guys to confirm this, but what I would like to know is What is it exactly makes him “lazy”?  All I see (from a fan point of view) is him going out there, having decent matches, and doing whatever is asked of him (this includes house shows).  So, is this a case of him not being “admin-lover” enough, or are there other things going on that I am missing?

PWInsider.com reported two weeks ago that WWE management wasn't happy with Carlito's attitude and that his recent use on TV and house shows was a direct result of that.  We also reported rumors that have been making the rounds in the locker room about his long-term future with the company.  As far as what Carlito may not be doing right in the eyes of management, there has been a long-standing opinion internally that he just does enough to get by and could be much more impressive given his raw talent.  It could also be a situation where politically, he could have fallen out of favor so no matter what he does isn't good enough because he's under a black cloud.  His future with the company remains to be seen.

Lately there have been rumors regarding Sting's future with TNA. He wasn't used at the tapings in recent days and there has back talk of his contractual status. Any word what is going on and if he will be sticking around or not?

As of this writing, Sting has had discussions with the company about remaining but nothing has been signed and he's not being factored into the storylines until something is decided one way or the other.  He had been making noises about finishing up 2007 and quietly stepping away, so time will tell.

Any word as to why Chris Harris doesn't have much going on for him lately? He didn't have much going on at the recent TV tapings and he wasn't even used on Genesis. Is there something up with and TNA?

Based on the current way Harris is portrayed on Impact, it appears that was part of a longer planned storyline to either turn him heel or tease it.  If that is not the case, Harris joins Petey Williams and LAX on the list of talents you scratch your head at while trying to decipher why the company doesn't do more with them.

Any word as to why Ron Killings missed his scheduled New Japan booking this past weekend? Reports seem to indicate that New Japan blames Killings and that they'll leave it up to TNA to punish him.

Killings missed his flight and TNA was not happy about it as they are trying to cultivate a stronger relationship with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
