Why is it that WWE uses Edge for their Survivor Series promos, but he isn't close to returning?
As you can see, Edge made his return on Sunday at the Survivor Series PPV, so that's why. He was originally diagnosed to be out 4-6 months, and November would be in the middle of the four month mark. He was cleared to return medically and now he's back.
I love your site guys, great job! My question is about "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush, Why is this guy not a pro? He is probably one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Has he never received an offer from WWE, or is he just that loyal to Chikara and the indy scene?
I don't know what you mean by not a pro, but he's been wrestling professionally for a number of years. As far as why he hasn't received a WWE offer, Quackenbush's style and size is something that works well on the smaller independent scene as opposed to WWE where it's look first. Quackenbush's work stands out because of the style that he does, and putting him into the WWE realm would require an entirely different mindset. That's not to say he couldn't make his mark there but he certainly wouldn't be someone the company would get behind based on the history of who they push. As far as his loyalty to CHIKARA, it's his company, so it makes sense he's going to be loyal to it!
Sting, Christian Cage, Kurt Angle came to TNA and the rating is still around 1.0. Do you think having Booker T. might raise the ratings?
No, I don't. As I have written many times in the past, the only thing that is going to help TNA grow their ratings is a continued effort of an all around better product and the ability to take their in-house names like Abyss, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, etc. and use the established talent to bring them up to the next level. The most recent Impact showed signs of promise and the recent elevation of Kaz has been well done, but TNA needs a long string of such things to build ratings. It took WWE close to a year of great Raws before the ratings finally overtook Nitro on a regular basis. It's going to take a long run of quality, great Impacts and word of mouth to help Impact's rating grow and stay at a larger level, in my opinion.
They did a vignette on Smackdown where Jeff told Matt he was leaving because he "had plans" and showed him with his coat and bag on Smackdown before the Matt-MVP segment.
I know this may be an obvious question, but if everyone knows that Finley will use the weapon in a match...why do the refs let him leave it on the ring apron?
Sometimes you just have shrug and say, "That's wrestling!" That's one of those times.
