PWINSIDER Q&A: JERICHO'S RETURN, SHIMMER RELATIONSHIP WITH ROH, STRIKES AFFECTING WWE PERFORMERS AND PROGRAMMING, NASTY BOYS & MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2007-11-18 10:00:21

I have seen several independent promotions advertising the Nasty Boys. Surely this can't mean that the crippled Brian Knobbs that we see on Hogan Knows Best is capable of wrestling?

Believe it or not, Knobbs and Saggs have made some in-ring appearances in the last year, although they are hardly working the style of matches that they were known for in WCW and the WWF.

Is the upcoming S.A.G. strike going to effect the WWE in anyway? I would imagine guys like Jericho and Austin hold SAG cards, would working WWE be considered crossing a line? Inversely, would The Rock be allowed to work WWE shows since acting would be unavailable to him?

World Wrestling Entertainment is a non-union entity, so all of the strikes, current and ongoing, have no bearing on their product.  The Rock is not coming back, period, strike or no strike, ever as a full-time performer.

How is it X-Pac is able to use the DX music during the AAA television broadcasts? Doesn't the WWE have a say so in this? Do they care or is it because it is in Mexico?

AAA is playing the music live and broadcasting it.  WWE could probably send them a legal letter about it, but I doubt they'd get anything accomplished.  If AAA was selling the song, that would be another issue altogether.

The all women's wrestling promotion SHIMMER recently celebrated their two year anniversary. ROH has featured the women of SHIMMER, why hasn't TNA? Is SHIMMER legally bound to ROH only or can their wrestlers appear for any other wrestling organization such as TNA? Congratulations to SHIMMER. Well done!

None of the SHIMMER performers are signed to that company and a number of them have appeared in TNA.  ROH promotes the SHIMMER name because they are distributing the DVDs in house, SHIMMER owner Dave Prazak works for ROH as an announcer and it's within the company's best interests to help SHIMMER because they make money on the company as well.

Is Chris Jericho expected to rejoin the WWE before the holidays or would it be possible for him to make his long awaited debut early next year?

I'd be surprised if Jericho isn't on Raw tomorrow.
