Who's bag did Petey Williams crap in? He's a great wrestler and has arguably the best finisher in the business. But he isn't pushed, is barely on TV, and when he is it is Xplosion and him getting beat by the jobber Johnny Devine.
Who knows, but I am wondering if he and Chris Harris accidentally stole Jeff Jarrett's parking space at Universal or something. Despite having one of the most awesome finishers in wrestling, Williams has become an afterthought in the X-Division, while Harris, who actually was in a PPV main event this year, has been totally wasted. It may just be my opinion, but there is a great story to be told with Harris, who is a "TNA made talent" and has been with the company since day one. I really don't understand why TNA seems unwilling to push their loyal, home grown, younger talent at times.
With the WWE 'letting the cat out of the bag" by announcing that Chris Jericho was being featured on the front cover of RAW magazine before Survivor Series and the following RAW, do you see the fans still being excited about him coming back or has the "element of surprise" of his impending return been spoiled?
I don't think it has spoiled things to any great degree, as the fans have been expecting his return for over a month now. I think the fans will still be excited over his return, although it certainly won't be the "shocking surprise" it could have been if they had brought him back rather than dragging things out.
Why was it that at the original One Night Stand, WWE didn't use Joel Gertner and Sign Guy Dudley for the main event? It would have been great to see Gertner do is classic intro for the group and much better then the way they booked him, begging Eric Bischoff for a job.
I agree 100%. It was a waste of Gertner, and I would have loved a classic Dudleys entrance, complete with Bubba ripping on fans before allowing Gertner to deliver his classic introductions. The Dudleys intro and pre-match inciting of the crowd was always a highlight of ECW's Queens, New York events.
With Johnny Ace's history in Japan, why has he not brought more people over from the land of the rising sun to be in the WWE? The only one I can remember is Kenzo Suzuki and that was 2004, which means he could had been one of JR's last projects.
Just because Ace gained his greatest fame in All Japan doesn't mean he is going to be bringing over Japanese talent to WWE. In recent years, WWE has rarely pushed Japanese talent, with Tajiri, Suzuki and TAKA Michonoku being rare exceptions (if you can call what they got pushes). Ace is going to bring in talent that WWE will use. Also, a majority of the top talent Ace worked with in All Japan (and remember his career ended several years ago) are older veterans like Akira Taue, or huge stars like Jun Akiyama, who probably have no desire to come to WWE and work as a mid carder.
With TNA becoming more and more a force to be reckoned with, do you think WWE is going to start thinking to themselves that they need to get their act together and give us a better product? TNA definitely is becoming more and more noticeable, and WWE's ex-talent, like Christian Cage, Dudleys, Angle, Booker, etc., seem to find the six-sided ring a fine place to settle down. Do you think WWE is going to get a wake up call or do you believe Vince's arrogance will blind him?
WWE would probably argue that TNA isn't much of a force yet. While TNA has certainly provided disenfranchised WWE talent with a place to work, it hasn't shown itself to be a threat from a business standpoint yet. Their television show has hovered at a 1.0 or 1.1 since moving to primetime last year, and hasn't shown any real growth. TNA doesn't release their PPV buyrates, but if their free TV show isn't pulling in bigger numbers, I can't imagine their buyrates are increasing. I think when TNA starts gaining ground in terms of ratings, then it will serve as a warning to Vince that he has legitimate competition.
