PWINSIDER Q&A: FORMER WORLD CHAMPIONS WHO WON'T WIN THE TITLE AGAIN, DX, TNA IMPROVEMENT, HARDCORE TITLE AND MORE

There was once a TV series called Wings. On one of episodes, the owner of his one plane operation hired a consultant to see if there was a chance for his business to improve from it's current position. As of today, can TNA improve from where it stands now, or has it reached its end. In other words, can TNA improve enough to someday compete with the WWE or have they simply come as far as they are going to get?

TNA can absolutely improve from where they are now.  They have a loaded roster of mostly young talent.  They have two hours of prime time television on a major cable network.  They have a good relationship with their cable home, to the point that specials and additional TV time is a possibility.  They have only begun to expand outside their home base of Florida when it comes to live shows.  If TNA can just improve their presentation and booking, there is not doubt they can continue to grow and succeed, and perhaps even compete with WWE.

Okay this may seem ridiculous but after Monday night's DX promo, why NOT have Hornswoggle and the Boogeyman stay in DX? I think it would be really funny, actually. Followup: If you watch the video from wwe.com DX, Horny, and Boogeyman all bend down when leading up to the Suck It chant. Is Khali not capable of bending at the knees? Would it really have been that hard for him to get into it a bit more? I know he's not the best worker (to put it mildly) but hell, he does have knees, right? Why didn't the big lug bend down like he was supposed to? Even he shouldn't have screwed up that one!

To answer your second question first, why are you expecting anything remotely athletic or mobile from the Great Khali?  Seriously, have you seen his matches?  You expect far too much from him.  As far as Hornswoggle and Boogey continuing to appear with DX, if WWE wanted to, I'm sure they could do a running gag with them wanting to be members of the group.  Hell, they could have Boogey help Hornswoggle against Khali at Survivor Series and then they could do the DX chop afterwards! Of course, WWE claims they won't be continuing DX at this time, so it probably won't happen.

Which former world champions that are currently still active in wrestling do you think will never be world champion again? My guess would be Rey Mysterio.

Kane and the Great Khali are two names that immediately come to my mind.

I'm wondering if WWE has a policy about using the 10-bell salute. There seems to be no set standards for when they use it. They used it after the deaths of Owen Hart, Brian Pillman, and Eddie Guerrero. They also used it in a storyline after the death of the Big Show's father (which was a disgrace, in my opinion). However they didn't use it after Chris Benoit's death (keeping in mind that when Raw went on the air, they weren't aware of his actions). And they didn't use it to honor the Fabulous Moolah last night. The 10-bell salute is a unique, honorable way to show respect for someone in the business, and it's a rare chance for us fans to see that wrestler's true emotions. To me, I would think the 10-bell salute should be used for the death of an active wrestler (on WWEs roster) or any WWE Hall of Famer, and never used for storyline purposes. Your thoughts?

I agree that using the ten bell salute for a storyline is rather pathetic.  As far as using the salute (and it should be noted, they did a ten bell salute for Moolah on house shows the weekend of her passing), there is no set rule for it.  In the case of Benoit, they devoted a three hour show to him, and Moolah was given a very nice, longer than normal, tribute package that aired on all WWE shows this week.  I have no problem with WWE going with the video package as opposed to the ten bell salute.  It's really just a matter of personal preference.

I know that since ECW is only an hour long program that it doesn't make much sense to bring another title back in, like the TV title, but since it is WWECW what do you think about the Hardcore championship being brought back exclusively to ECW? Since there really isn't any feuds going on right now (besides Punk/Morrison that we've seen 1,000 times), you could really build some programs around a title, maybe making ECW something to watch.

WWE seems to have enough problems getting the eight championships (I consider the Cruiserweight Title to be dead) they have over.  I'd rather see TV time used to get the tag belts over by having the Smackdown or Raw champs on ECW, than trying to bring back the Hardcore Title.
