PWINSIDER Q&A: DX RETURNING?, BOOZE AT SHOWS, RICHARDS & VENIS AS A TAG TEAM AND MORE

DX question.  I recently started getting back into wrestling, I started watching again when DX reformed with HBK and HHH, do you know if there was any plans of adding new DX members before HHH got hurt?  I always felt that staples like that really helped push popularity of lesser stars, like when the New Age Outlaws joined DX back in the attitude era.  Speaking of DX, with HHH back, and HBK just around the corner, any idea, or guess as to whether they will get back together as DX?

There were never any plans of adding new members to DX.  It was going to be strictly Michaels and HHH, with the feeling that it was best to stick with them and not try to bring any "junior members" into the group.  As for a reformation, I could see WWE doing something where Triple H and Shawn Michaels keep their own personas when working as singles, but on the occasions that they team up, the use the DX music and gear.

Is alcohol served at WWE, ROH and TNA shows? Are wrestlers allowed to drink beer after they have just wrestled a match?

The decision to serve alcohol at a show is usually the decision (and responsibility) of the venue, not the promotion.  I don't know of any hard rule concerning wrestlers drinking backstage at a show after their matches, and it certainly has happened in some promotions in the past, but in most cases the wrestlers are smart enough to just wait until after the show to go to a bar or their hotel room for a drink. Unless, of course, Steve Austin is around.

What do you think the reaction would be if a member of the WWE creative team stood up and suggested the following: Britney Spears vs. Krissy Vaine?

Some would probably say "Who's Krissy Vaine?" since I'm convinced a good portion of the WWE Creative Team isn't even aware of wrestlers on the main roster, much less the developmental one.  The next reaction would probably be that Britney is way too expensive to bring in for an appearance, much less a match, and she probably wouldn't accept an offer anyway.

How about this for a tag team: Steven Richards and Val Venis. Any chance? What do you think?

They actually were a team, sort of, as they were part of the Right To Censor group together many years ago.  As for the present, I would love to see them as a tag team.  They never seem to get much of a push as singles (although Richards is getting a slight push now), and since Smackdown is practically devoid of regular tag teams, I'd like to see them put together and sent to the Friday night brand.  They certainly could help Deuce & Domino, The Major Brothers and Jesse & Festus become better workers.

How often does the WWE creative team meet to work out storylines and submit ideas? Do they communicate by phone? In person? Do they have meetings at Stamford, CT headquarters? Does Vince McMahon ever involve himself personally in the meetings?

They are constantly meeting.  During the week, it is meetings in Stamford.  On weekends, it is conference calls.  On their way to shows, they have meetings on the WWE Corporate jet. Every morning and afternoon before television, they are in meetings making rewrites to the shows.  And Vince absolutely gets involved in the meetings personally, although in recent years he has allowed Stephanie to be in control of the proceedings.
