PWINSIDER Q&A: WWE HALL OF FAME, THE ANGLES, WRESTLEMANIA 24 CELEBS AND MORE

Can anyone be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame who have, unfortunately, passed away? Persons such as Ernie Ladd, Miss Elizabeth and Big John Studd for example.

Absolutely, and amongst the names you listed, Ernie Ladd was inducted while he was still living, and Big John Studd was inducted posthumously.  WWE has inducted several wrestlers over the years after they had passed away, including Andre The Giant (the Hall Of Fame was created with Andre as the sole inductee after he passed away), Eddie Guerrero, Junkyard Dog, Curt Hennig, The Sheik and others.

I know that Wrestlemania 24 is a long way away but, what stars do you see taking part in the event? Paris Hilton? Lindsay Lohan? Britney Spears? All three? Have you heard of anybody in particular?

I have heard no celebrity names for Wrestlemania 24, nor do I expect to hear any this early on.  I'm sure WWE will try to grab one or two names to help generate some press, but no clue if they'll be specifically targeting the "troubled young spoiled brat" types.

Whose idea was it for Kurt Angle and his wife Karen to work together in various situations? Have you heard of Karen Angle eventually taking part in a mixed tag match along with her husband?

From what I understand, it was Kurt's idea to have his wife become part of the TNA roster.  I have not heard anything about her participating in a match, but now that she is a contracted performer, I would be shocked if she doesn't end up taking a bump at some point.

I recently viewed TNA's Impact! featuring the match between Kurt Angle w/wife Karen against The Steiner Brothers with the stipulation that if the Steiners win, they would get five minutes with Karen Angle. This whole situation with Kurt Angle working alongside his wife made me think of another couple: Triple H & Stephanie McMahon. Coincidence or intentional?

I wouldn't call it either.  There's been plenty of husband-wife duos that have worked together in wrestling throughout the years.

How do you think Steve Austin would be used right now if he was still an active performer? I was, and still am a huge Stone Cold mark, but  even I readily admitted that Austin's character had become stale in 2002 before becoming slightly rejuvenated in 03 with his feud with the  Rock. If he was healthy and still wrestling, do you think we would have seen another attempted repacking of his character (hopefully better then the "heel" turn), or do you think he'd still be the same old Stone Cold here in 2007?

I think Austin, much like Triple H, would go through multiple character changes.  From vicious heel (think Triple H crippling people with the sledgehammer) to comical babyface (think Triple H in DX) to serious competitor, I think WWE would have done the same with Austin, having him go through several different metamorphoses during his run.
