If you wanted to 'break someone in' to ROH what 3 DVD's would you recommend they rent/borrow/buy to see ROH?
I would go with the recent "Respect is Earned" PPV which is now out on DVD, the Joe vs. Kobashi DVD and for good measure, I'd go with the ROH Death Before Dishonor event featuring CZW vs. ROH in the Cage of Death. All give a really good showing of what the promotion has to offer and has unique one of a kind bouts on them. You can order all of them at www.rohwrestling.com.
Whenever WWE or whomever says that a show is sold out does that mean that you cannot get any tickets for the show or is it like the NFL where if a team reaches a certain number of tickets sold than it's considered a sell out?
When WWE announces a sell out, they mean that all tickets they have placed on sale for the event are sold. That doesn't mean there are additional comp tickets they haven't used or even entire sections that never went on sale for production purposes, which is why seats are always released later and even the day of the show. There were tickets released this past Sunday for Summerslam because I had friends that went at the last minute and bought $90 seats at 6 PM, just two hours before the show went on the air.
Do you think it would help TNA if on their website, they had videos of matches on wrestlers profiles like WWE? I was just wondering what your thoughts are.
Well, TNA has the TNA Today show which regularly features matches and also uploads material to YouTube.com, so I don't think additional matches would have any great effect on TNA's status.
I was surprised with the release of Dan Rodimer because, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't he recently main eventing house shows facing Cena? It would have appeared WWE had some big plans for him. Do you know any details on the release?
I was told that WWE didn't feel Rodimer had progressed to the point that he was going to be showcased on the main roster anytime soon and since Rodimer had interests outside of the business, including a real estate career, he basically felt that if it wasn't going to happen now, it was time to head out. The company agreed and let him go.
From what I gather from this week's Smackdown spoilers, do you think Kane forgot they proved with DNA testing that he is Paul Bearer's son, or does he perhaps think Paul and Vince are either identical twins or possibly clones of each other?
Like a lot of soap operas, the last thing WWE's creative team is concerned about is with the long-term continuity of its characters. You could also simply make a case for the idea that Kane was mocking Vince's situation. It's one of those cases where you have to shrug and say, "It's just wrestling" and go with the flow.
I was at the Ric Flair did make promotional appearances for the event, but didn't appear on camera. It's possible something was filmed that didn't air before the live crowd but most likely, he was selling the effect of the Khali claw from a few episodes ago to get it over leading into the Summerslam World title match tonight.
