A lot of wrestlers say they are the best in the World: Bryan Danielson, Kurt Angle, etc. from each show Raw, SmackDown, TNA and ROH. Who are their best wrestlers? and who is the best out of the 4 selected?
This is just my opinion, but I would say the best wrestlers right now are Umaga (Raw), Matt Hardy (Smackdown), CM Punk (ECW), Samoa Joe (TNA), and Bryan Danielson (ROH). Of all of them, I would say Danielson is probably the best wrestler.
Do you think ECW on SciFi will eventually get a 2 hour timeslot?
There are a lot of factors to consider in making ECW a two hour show. ECW is broadcast from the Smackdown tapings right now, which means fans are sitting through a three hour show. To expand ECW would mean a four hour show, and also mean possibly having an earlier start time to the tapings, which can result in problems when you consider that the show is on a weeknight (it wouldn't look good to have a half-empty arena for half of Smackdown because fans are still arriving). If ECW starts doing amazing ratings, I can see expanding it, but if that happens, it will require rearranging WWE's production schedule and giving ECW their own taping. Also, it means expanding the ECW roster, which is very small at this point.
Is WWE planning on releasing any ECW DVDs in the future? I'd love to have some of the classic ECW Arena shows.
There are no plans at this point to release old ECW events in their entirety on DVD. However, WWE is working on another collection of ECW matches, ala the Bloodsport: ECW's Most Violent Matches DVD.
I can't believe WWE is pushing Mark Henry again. How many times Mark Henry has been out with an injury?
Henry certainly hasn't been lucky when it comes to injuries. In his ten year career, he has been sidelined four times, three of them being major injuries that required surgery. In 2002, he suffered an ankle injury that put him on the shelf. In 2004, about to get a major push, he suffered a shoulder injury that resulted in surgery. When he came back from that layoff, he tore his quad in OVW preparing for his return to action, which resulted in another surgery. Last year, he was put on the shelf as a result of a torn patella he suffered on the July 15, 2006 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event, ending another big push for him.
I was watching the Ric Flair 3 disc DVD set and while watching the Royal Rumble bout Flair was involved in, I saw something very interesting. During the match, the "Macho Man" went after Jake "The Snake" and it looked like he took some pretty stiff shots, in my opinion, to Jake. Then when Macho eliminated Jake, he jumped over the top rope (which would mean an elimination) and it looked like he was actually trying to hurt Jake. I then see Undertaker quickly jump out of the ring and, while still in character, tries to pull the two men apart on two occasions and get Macho back into the ring and keep him there until Jake is out of sight. Was there a story behind that like some sort of bad blood backstage that you guys would no about or have heard between Jake The Snake and Macho Man?
Actually, it was all part of a storyline that was going on at the time between Roberts and Savage. Roberts had crashed Savage and Elizabeth's wedding reception at Summerslam '90, giving them a "gift" of a snake in a box. This led to the famous angle where Savage was bit by a snake, and then Savage's return to action (he had lost a retirement match to the Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania) for Tuesday In Texas, where Roberts did the unthinkable and hit Elizabeth (at the time, this was shocking). The feud was still going strong at this point. Undertaker was Roberts' partner in tag matches at the time, which is why he was involved.
