Why is WWE creative responsible for all the problems in the world? I mean, WWE is a wrestling emporium instead of a second rated Florida wrestling promotion. So there might be so many more factors in that wrestler a get a push instead of wrestler b. Also, I hear all the complaining about WWE creative for making bad WWE Raw shows. Meanwhile most observers praise WWE Friday Night Smackdown! for being an at least solid wrestling show at most weeks. So, what does it they about the wrestling fans in the USA when they tune in on Mondays and skip the wrestling show on Friday??? Also, you didn't like 3 minute matches on Raw. Wasn't there a time when eight 3-minute matches and one big non wrestling segment was the norm a.k.a. your beloved attitude era???
To answer your questions in order:
*WWE creative is only responsible for booking WWE wrestling shows, not the problems of the world. There are plenty of other people falling down on the job where the problems of the world are concerned. Creative has booked a lot of boring and/or bad shows lately so they will get heat for it. It is not about who they push. It's about how they push them. When they do a good job, they get praised.
*It says that wrestling fans see that WWE clearly has made Raw their top show, so it gets the most viewers. They see that Smackdown is number two, and it gets the second most viewers. They see that ECW is number three and they get the hardcore WWE fans.
*Your question on the Attitude era isn't even answerable because it's so flawed and untrue. Honestly, the only possible way that you can't see how superior the product was back in the late 90s is if you didn't actually see it. If you saw it, you would know why people pine for the quality product that WWE used to give us. There's a reason that wrestling on Monday nights did a combined 10 rating then and now WWE can't even get a four on most weeks. Just because you didn't see the Attitude era, doesn't mean it wasn't vastly superior to what WWE is doing now. And comparing last Monday's Raw to that era shows you never actually saw what you are comparing it to.
The Dusty Rhodes segment on Raw get a positive feedback. Is it, because you don't see Dusty Rhodes every week on WWE Raw or is it, because he is from your prime in which you guys built an emotional relationship as a fan of Dusty Rhodes?
My prime? What am I now, a ninety year old man? For the record, I never had an emotional attachment to Dusty. I was a heel fan and loved the Four Horsemen and all the abuse they laid on Big Dust. So, if it had been Ric Flair, you may have had a point. With Dusty? Uh, no. Why I liked his promo last week was that it was well done and captivating. When he spoke, he actually said something that made sense and had conviction. He had an interesting issue to talk about. It's that simple.
Why are most people seem to take every WWE storyline so personal? I mean, they did the Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin tease on WWE raw for your entertainment and people seem to trash it.
If people complained about the Haas and Benjamin storyline it's because they didn't find it entertaining. I was one of those people. See, I like a little bit of realism in what I watch. I have never been in a gym or a locker room where a guy said if he couldn't do something he would kiss his friend on the lips. And since the friend in question isn't gay in this scenario, even if Shelton wanted to kiss him on the lips, the obvious, realistic response from Charlie would have been something along the lines of, "I don't care if you lose your next hundred matches pal, you try to kiss me on the lips and I will flatten your ass". Instead, Charlie just stands there like a dope wondering if he will get to pucker up for his partner. It was just really, really stupid and not at all entertaining. So, if anyone took it personally it's probably because they can spell "IQ" and they felt that their intelligence was insulted with a really poor angle. On the other hand, some people are a lot less discerning and much more easily entertained. Ignorance is bliss I guess.
Kane seems to be one of those guys who can get over no matter what. Does he have some creative control over his character, is he one of the few guys who creative always has a plan for, or does he just get lucky and always have something that gets over? Since he never seems to have an issue getting over, is this the reason they don't put the belt on him, or his he like Regal in that he doesn't really want the pressure of carrying the company?
In this case, it's just a simple matter of having a different and unique character that has established a connection with the fans. They like him and they pop for him. They don't care if he wins or has a bad match, they just like him and all that goes with his character. He's like the Undertaker in that regard, and kind of like how The Sandman was back in the old ECW or Andre The Giant back in the 80s. Having a belt isn't important when the fans see the guy in a certain way, and that is how they see Kane.
Flipping between RAW and The Home Run Derby, I (fortunately) caught the promo between Dusty Rhodes and Randy Orton on Raw, and thought it was the best thing on RAW that night. I then found out that Teddy Hart had been signed by WWE to a development deal. My point? Is there any possible way WWE may be gearing for a faction of next generation stars, possibly being led by Randy Orton? With Orton, Carlito, Teddy Hart, Neidhart's daughter, Harry Smith, Cody Runnels, Deuce, Ray Gordy, and possibly some I've missed, I can see having a faction like that be a GREAT concept. Of course, there may be defector's, and that could create fresh fueds, and there could also be additions we're not aware of yet. What are your thoughts?
There has been talk of WWE doing a new Hart Foundation with Smith, Teddy and Nattie Neidhart. And yes, WWE generally likes bringing in next generation stars because of their familiarity with the business and the fact that the children can always get advice and tutoring from the parent. I like a young blood style angle if it's done correctly. It could be very cool.
