PWINSIDER Q&A: JOHN CENA ON TOUGH ENOUGH, TRIPLE H & STEPHANIE BLEW UP VINCE? AND MORE

With only an hour for their show TNA seems to have too short matches and go to commercials doing the matches which makes it feel even shorter, to save time why don't they cut out most of the entrances except maybe the main event? And put commercials between matches, not during them?

To answer your second question first, having commercials during matches is just a necessary evil during a one hour show. As short as the matches are now, they'd all have to be short if TNA were to work around commercials. I'd rather get a 10 minute bout with three minutes of commercials than a three minute bout with no commercial breaks.  As for your suggestion about entrances, it is something to consider, although usually entrances are when the announcers get a chance to put over the storylines and promote the upcoming events.

I never followed Smackdown and just watching the drafts to RAW is anyone surprised Hulk Hogan is so upset about Jillian Hall. As soon as I saw her I knew it was a Brooke parody and then she opened her mouth and even mocked the speech Brooke did at SNME. My question is why do you think WWE would stoop so low to do this to Hogan whether he had fallen out with them or not. Surely this is crossing over the line picking on his daughter to get to him?

This question has popped up a lot lately, so I'm guessing a lot of people skip Smackdown (which is a shame, as more often than not it is a far better wrestling show than Raw).  As I have answered before, is taking a shot at Hogan's daughter low?  Yes.  But some would argue that when Hogan put his family on television with the VH1 reality show, they became "fair game" to be spoofed.

Do you think Hogan was contacted in regards to the McMahon appreciation night?

Given the current feelings between Hogan and McMahon, I would say no, but it wouldn't shock me to find out that an effort might have been made on WWE's part.  Still, I highly doubt it.

Though I hate to think it, but going by really bad WWE story lines in the past, do you think the "assassination" of Vince will be due to it being set up by Triple H and Stephanie? I hope not, but WWE creative has done stupid things like this in the past. (At least I didn't ask if King Booker is a "real king")

But Booker is a real king, damn it!   Oh, your question.  I highly doubt Triple H and Stephanie will be aligned in this storyline as the two who tried to blow up Vince.  While it could turn out to be a McMahon, I think it is far more likely that it will come out the Vince "staged" it, and set up his return to television.

Wasn't John Cena on Tough Enough as a contestant?  I could have sworn I saw him on a show training once before he became a WWE star.

I think you have your shows mixed up.  Cena, while working California independents under his original ring name Prototype appeared in a documentary on the UPW Wrestling school and promotion on The Learning Channel.  He wasn't on Tough Enough.
