PWINSIDER Q&A: ROB VAN DAM AT SLAMMIVERSARY, BEST RING ANNOUNCERS, SHERRI MARTEL/VINCE STORYLINE AND MORE

Who do you feel is the best ring announcer ever? And who do you feel is the best ring announcer that is still currently active? Can I just put it out there that I dislike Lilian Garcia.

I doubt anyone would dispute that the greatest ring announcer of all time is Howard Finkel.  Of today's announcers, I like Lillian Garcia, Stephen DeAngelis and Bobby Cruise, all of whom bring different styles.

Why do Mike Tenay and Don West constantly yell throughout the entire TNA Impact broadcast? I feel that is takes away from the entire show.

I agree with you that sometimes the Impact show feels like an old Don West infomercial where you are getting barked at, but that's what Impact is, an attempt by TNA to get you to want to sample their PPV and DVD product.  I think a lot of the hype hype hype has to do with TNA not having enough time, so they try to compensate for that.

So will WWE give a 10-bell salute for a true Hall of Famer in the late Sherri Martel, or will that "cheapen" the tributes given to Mr. McMahon last week?

Who's to say we won't see more tributes this week?  We didn't get through an episode of Raw yet!  My guess is that, currently storyline or not, Sherri Martel would have gotten a brief graphic or a short video package.  I seriously doubt the Vince McMahon explosion storyline will change due to her passing, which is a sad statement on the business, but that's the reality of WWE in 2007.

Will Rob Van Dam be at Slammiversary?

Van Dam's WWE expires 7/1, so he contractually could not appear in TNA until that date, if he indeed does sign with TNA.  I've heard Van Dam is looking at making signing appearances and relaxing from the road to spend time with his family.  He's not expected to leap right into a deal with TNA, although that could change if the money is right.

You mentioned a few weeks ago that referees at house shows were going to be in the dark when it comes to the finishes of the matches. How was that been going? Any endings botched yet?

I haven't heard of any instances of finishes being made in error.  In some cases, referees have been given finishes again, but the experiment is continuing on some house shows.
