With all the ongoing trade mark questions going on with ECW, how was Kid Kash able to escape it? After all, he was David Cash in ECW for a while until he became Kid Kash in 1999. How can WWE prevent the Dudleyz but not him?
WWE wouldn't have been able to prevent the Dudleys if they had actually trademarked the name for themselves. It's possible Cash did that prior to his WWE run, so he retains the name.
One thing I hated about WWE was Vince's instance of pushing guys based on size. It was much harder for guys like Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, and Benoit to become champs, even though it was clear that they were the best wrestlers on their shows. Now I am seeing that TNA is doing the same thing. The X-division guys hardly ever get feuds in the main event. It took a lot of work by AJ Styles and Christoper Daniels to clearly prove their talent alone makes them deserving to be main-eventers and not just X-division guys. Yet I wonder if guys like Sabin, Senshi, Shelley will ever get a break to prove they can carry the ball in main-event matches. Your thoughts?
I hope they will but don't expect it to happen anytime soon due to time constraints and the current focus on other talents. That's unfortunate, because it leaves the X-Division with a feeling of second-tier level matches right now. Any of the talents that work regularly in that division can have matches that rival the top main event players. TNA may point to Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, and Christopher Daniels as evidence otherwise and while they have a point, since those three have been moved up the card, the X-Division has never been focused on in the same way, instead focusing on Kevin Nash silliness.
Do you have any idea if the Backlash DVD will include extras which has the Shawn Michaels/John Cena rematch from Raw? It would seem a bit silly on WWE's part to have a match like that, that WOULD sell more DVD's for an event, not as an extra.
There are no plans for that match to be released on the Backlash DVD.
With all the matches Vince and Shane McMahon do, did they ever receive training, or did they just know how to do it since they've been around wrestling for so long?
Obviously, they trained. Neither were going to get in the ring if they didn't have a proper knowledge of what they were going to be doing, because the risk of injury would be too great.
At this point in time, is there any hope at all that DX is going to reform after Triple H (and later on HBK) returns to the WWE or should we just forget about it?
At this point, all signs point to Shawn Michaels and HHH having singles runs, although if WWE waits, the eventual moment where DX teams again can mean something from a ratings standpoint.
