Please, help me make up my mind. Is Vince wearing various head coverings seemingly until his hair grows back cheating the fans and undermining the whole "loser gets his hair shaved" stipulation (if we don't get a decent look at it, and time to enjoy it i.e. more than one segment with him scurrying around hiding under various things), or is it adding to the importance of the stipulation by showing how important the hair is to him, and how much he hates being bald (we did, albeit briefly, get to see his scalp, so it's not like we never see him bald)?
I think it is more the latter. To be honest, I first thought that Vince was wearing the head coverings to tease a spot where it gets pulled off. Since his hair is now growing back, I can't see it getting much of a pop at this point. Now, I'm starting to think that Vince really likes them.
During the earlier days of TNA, Monty Brown was the most popular guy in the company but never got the world title. Once Christian and Sting got in the company, he was de-pushed greatly. Do you think TNA dropped the ball with Monty especially when he was at the height of his popularity?
Yes, I do think TNA dropped the ball with Monty Brown (now Marcus Cor Von). Despite his sometimes bizarre promos, Brown had a lot of potential, and was a fresh face that TNA could have built into being "their star" as opposed to a former WWE/WCW/ECW star in a new company. Not keeping Brown in the main event mix, not keeping the NWA Title on Rhino longer, totally blowing it with Ron Killings and the on-again/off-again pushes of Samoa Joe have been TNA's biggest mistakes in recent years, in my opinion.
Why are the refs suddenly double checking the wrestlers shoulders before beginning a count? They rub the mat behind the shoulders to make sure both are down. This is new.
There is a concerted effort in WWE to reestablish the importance of the referee. They have been instructed to not ignore things like shoulders being off the mat (even if the planned finish is taking place) and to not just "stand around" during rules infractions.
Do you think we'll ever get Jericho or Edge DVDs? How would they handle the Christian appearances in Edge's early matches?
I can't see them not doing an Edge DVD at some point. There's more than enough footage for one. A Jericho DVD makes sense, but given his current status (or lack of status) in the company, I don't see WWE rushing to do one yet. As for the Christian footage in an Edge DVD, they simply would show it. WWE has not shied away from using footage of current TNA stars in their DVDs thus far.
Is WWE moving Snitsky back to Raw? If so, why? I was looking forward to a Snitsky/Lashley feud.
There is definitely a plan in the works for Snitsky to be moved to Raw, possibly to challenge John Cena. Of course, since his promo videos are also airing on Smackdown, who knows what WWE's final decision would be. By the way, it is a pleasure to meet you, because you have to be the first person I have heard of who was looking forward to a Snitsky vs. Lashley feud.
