I see everyone asking about the "Enter Sandman" song for the Sandman and people saying he's not the same without it. my question is, this isn't the first time he's wrestled without entering to that theme, I never seen the shows back then, but how did the fans react back when he was in TNA when he came out to different music?
Honestly, it is the same reaction he gets now, as he used generic entrance music in TNA as well. He gets a pop for his beer drinking entrance through the crowd, but it just isn't the same as having one of the most popular songs of all time blasting in the arena and pumping up the crowd while you do it.
With the rising popularity of the UFC, can you see Vince trying to hire some of the guys from the Ultimate Fighter seasons who weren't offered contracts?
Honestly, I don't see it happening. For starters, most of the fighters on the show that make any kind of impact (even in losing) get brought back for a fight or two. The fighters that succeed, obviously are sticking with UFC. The fighters that don't make an impact and just lose and fade away aren't worth going after in the first place. If Vince is going to go after anyone, his best bet would be to get an established UFC star with charisma, like when he had Ken Shamrock.
To your knowledge, when and where did the first cage match take place?
I always credited Fred Blassie for the first cage match, a chicken wire and wood cage that was called "Blassie's Cage" and used to end his legendary feud with The Sheik in Los Angeles in the late 60's. However, there apparently was a cage match (again, chicken wire was used) in 1937 in Georgia between Jack Bloomfield and Petro Rossi.
I have been following wrestling actively for well about 30 years I became a huge fan of "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes when he came to the Mid Atlantic Area in the Eighties. Since then I have watched the older footage and followed the many transformations with Dustin Runnels. My two questions are how soon can we see Dusty's youngest son Cody in the WWE? Is there any possibilities for a David Flair vs. Cody Runnels feud?
Cody Runnels has been working in OVW, so technically he could get brought up by WWE at any time. However, he is only 22 years old and still pretty green, so I think it would be a mistake to try and thrust him into the spotlight at this time. As for David Flair, while he did work a dark match at a Smackdown show last year, I don't know how interested he really is in pursuing wrestling full-time anymore. I doubt we will see a Rhodes vs. Flair, version 2 feud in WWE (David vs. Dustin on the indy scene is happening), but you never know.
Does WWE rig the Diva Search?
I highly doubt it, since I don't see the point in doing so. They hire any of the losers they see potential in anyway, so why bother rigging it?
