So, according to JR and Lawler, Khali is undefeated since he's never been pinned or submitted. Doesn't that completely undercut the idea of doing the "neither man can answer the bell" finish in a last man standing match, since they are saying a loss in that kind of match doesn't count as a loss? For that matter, with that kind of thinking, what's the point of ever doing that kind of match?
They are simply doing their best to get Khali over as a monster and place John Cena in an underdog position, similar to (although different circumstances) Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant at Wrestlemania III. In both cases, the idea was that the champion had no chance of victory but was still going to valiantly fight.
What do you think of Chase Stevens' comment: "TNA has lost what is important for the company and thats new faces and listening to the fans. TNA has their hands full trying to put a few main guys on tv that has been on tv for a decade now. In my opinion if the fans wanted to truely watch those few guys than they wouldnt have been let go from their other promotions. WCW made the same mistake years ago and in turn we all see the same thing happening again?" Do you think that what he is saying is true, because I see much truth in it?
I think Stevens' comments have some validity to them in his eyes, but you have to remember that he went from being a top pushed tag team to being an overlooked performer so there's anger there and there should be. I do thinkt hat TNA puts way too much precendence into former WWE stars when they should be branding Abyss, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, etc. as "THEIR" superstars, but in the fight to get a 2 hour timeslot with SpikeTV and maximize whatever ratings they can get, TNA sees otherwise.
To my recollection, every time Ken Kennedy and Matt Hardy have wrestled, Hardy gets the win… Even when it seems Kennedy is getting pushed, Hardy still goes over clean… Do you think once Kennedy gets the main event slot, that everyone knows is coming, they’ll use the past of the two to give Hardy the push he deserves?
It would only make sense to play off their past to build Hardy as a credible threat, but time will tell.
I saw an old ECW video where Sandman was wrestling Sabu… In this video, Sandman is visibly drunk. Not just drunk, but hammered…Was this common in early ECW? And wouldn’t this be insanely dangerous to both men?
Let's just say Sandman really lived the gimmick during that era and what you saw was exactly what you got. It was common a lot of the time. As for it being dangerous, Sandman used to claim he was safer in the ring after a few drinks. There were times where some wrestlers, including Mick Foley, would complain about his actions and from time to time, Sandman did curb himself.
In your opinion, what are the chances, The Rock will show up at Survivor Series 2007 in Miami, Florida??? Also, if WWE would be able to get the rock for the show, should they announce it in advance???
I don't see Rock wrestling but making an appearance or playing special referee in his hometown could be a possibility, depending on his movie schedules. If he's going to be part of the show, WWE would be idiotic not to announce it.
