Is it just me, or is Judgment Day looking like it's going to be the worst event of the year? I mean, Khali/Cena - I think Cena's a great worker, but he's limited and needs somebody good in there with him. Khali just doesn't fit the bill. Then there's the rumours of a Chris Masters vs Marella match for the IC Title - that would just be not appealing to me at all. Whatever they're doing with Boogeyman and Kane is bound to come to a head at the event, and that's just not even slightly appealing. Then you're bound to have Duece and Domino vs London and Kendrick - I've seen enough to think I'm going to see anything new and that also applies to the sure fire Carlito/Flair match. The only things I'm looking forward to is MVP/Benoit, because I feel it will be a potential MOTY candidate if given the time, CM Punk vs Burke which I think will be a really solid match. So my question to you is, does WWE REALLY expect us to fork out $40 on this show?
To be fair, some of your dread is directed towards matches that have not been officially confirmed, so until they are on the show, I wouldn't worry about them yet. What we do know at this point is four matches, and quite frankly, it's a 50/50 split so far, in my opinion. The McMahons & Umaga vs. Lashley match was the worst match on Backlash, and I don't see it being much better at Judgment Day. It will be paint-by-numbers and probably pretty dull. Cena vs. Khali could be a disaster of epic proportions. It all comes down to Cena. If he can sell and put on the "David vs. Goliath" type performance that Shawn Michaels did on Raw, it can be a good match. But, John Cena is no Shawn Michaels, and Khali has never had a good performance that wasn't a three minute squash (and even those weren't always pretty). On the other side of the coin, Chris Benoit and MVP have just gotten better and better since Wrestlemania, with their Smackdown and Backlash matches being excellent. Given a three falls match, I assume they will have more time than any of their previous bouts, and this has to potential to be a fantastic show for wrestling fans. CM Punk vs. Elijah Burke is two men who are being pushed as top guns on the ECW brand, and both are hungry to impress in one of their first high-profile PPV singles matches. I expect them to make the most of whatever time they are given. One or two more good matches, and I think this card could be very entertaining.ÂÂÂÂÂ
What are your thoughts an WWE doing longer ppv's (maybe 4 hours)??? I would think, that it wouldn't work. I was in the USA for some WrestleMania's and realized, that the 4 hour Manias were very exhausting. Also, there is a huge amount of "fans", that come to an event not interested in great technical wrestling but instead in drinking a few beers. Your comments please!
I have mixed thoughts on this topic. On the one hand, given the increased price of WWE PPV events, I feel like they should be giving us four hours of wrestling. On the other hand, WWE seems to have trouble presenting 2 1/2 hours on PPV without a lot of filler, so I can only imagine what they would do with four hours every month. I think a great three hour show would be a nice compromise.  As for people coming to drink a few beers instead of wanting great technical wrestling, to each their own. After all, it is entertainment!  ÂÂÂÂÂ
A lot of wrestling fans say to push the younger guys to the top spot instead of giving the top spot to former WWE and WCW guys. Which talent on TNA could you see in the Main Event now or in the near future. I know some obvious ones are Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, and Christopher Daniels. Do you think that Hernandez with Konnan as his mouthpiece would be someone that could be in the Main Event picture because he definitely has the size and skill.
I absolutely think Hernandez could be a main event star. In fact, I don't think TNA has even scratched the surface of what Hernandez can do, both in terms of wrestling and what he can do as a character. I actually saw Hernandez do an impersonation of Kurt Angle for a Japanese promotion, and he was fantastic. I think he has a done of potential and if brought along properly, could become a huge singles star for TNA down the road. At the same time, I think TNA has repeatedly missed the boat with Ron Killings. His all-too-brief main event runs seem to be followed by periods where TNA has no idea what to do with the guy.ÂÂÂÂÂ
Is Shane McMahon's wife, Marissa, still working for WWE?
Nope, actually she is in the movie business, and not for WWE Films either. She has a production company called, believe it or not, Kamala Films, and they are currently producing an action/mystery called "Anamorph" starring Willem DaFoe, set for release later this year.ÂÂÂÂÂ
In a moment of boredom, while checking out the ECW portion of the WWE website I seen Kelly Kelly had new pics up. In the more recent pics she looked... much more endowed so to speak. I usually change the channel during extreme expose so did I miss some recent enhancement surgery?
Nope, I believe you are just seeing the result of a good push-up bra. I'd like to think that WWE would discourage a 19-year-old from having breast enhancement surgery. ÂÂÂÂÂ
