What do you think about Vince starting a new version of The Corporation? Maybe he could have himself, 'his son Shane', Edge, Kennedy, CM Punk (if they really want to get him over as a heel), Chris Masters, or if they wanted to shake things up really good, have John Cena team up with them. Personally would hate for them to destroy the CM Punk character like that now that I think about it, but it definitely would be different. Your thoughts?
I don't mind the idea of Vince McMahon having a heel stable to "do his dirty work" but I absolutely would not stockpile it with top stars like Edge, Kennedy, Cena or even Punk. That would be a waste of star power. If anything, putting a Chris Masters, or Benjamin & Haas, or other midcard talent, would be much wiser, since the wrestlers would get "the rub" of being in storylines with Vince (which are always pushed well) while at the same time you don't have Vince overshadowing someone who can headline on his own, like Edge.
Will TNA Wrestling ever promote any shows in Atlanta, GA?
We seem to be getting more and more emails about whether TNA will visit certain towns (mostly old WCW strongholds). TNA is just now starting to get their feet wet when it comes to house shows and PPV events outside of Orlando, so I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for them to come to a specific town. In all honesty, it seems like TNA is still working on how to properly present live events (for example, they don't even have matches announced for the house show this weekend), so from my perspective, TNA still has a long way to go with their live event promotion.
I was just thinking about the Backlash Fatal Four Way for the WWE Title and just thought of who would win. Do you not think it's a good idea to have either Edge or Orton (preferably Edge - but that's just my view) take the belt and then lead to a match at Vengeance between the two? With all due respect to Cena and Michaels, I doubt those two together could work a match nearly as good as Edge and Orton. Cena and Michaels hit about as good as they were going to get, in my opinion, at Wrestlemania and I could definitely see Edge and Orton exceeding that. I think you will have seen Edge and Orton at Vengeance 2004 - which was a great match, in my view, and they've both grown so much since then in terms of how good they are. So does it not make sense to give someone else the spotlight besides Cena, who has held the title for twenty months in the past two years, and Michaels, who is in his forties?
In reading your question, I have to say that I think you are giving Randy Orton too much credit. Would Edge vs. Orton be better than Michaels-Cena at Wrestlemania? Possibly, but I can say with all certainty that Edge vs. Cena or Edge vs. Michaels would blow away anything Edge can get out of Orton. In my opinion, Edge is the best heel in wrestling today, and the only reason he isn't more prominently featured at times is because Vince McMahon is currently pushing himself as the top heel. I would like to see Edge get a run with the belt again, but I'm not a big fan of title changes in four-way matches, since it seems too often that those changes are done so that no one actually has to "do the job" in a singles match. Since Backlash is a four way, I say let Cena keep the belt, and have him drop it to Edge in a singles match. Then Edge can fight Orton while Michaels and Cena fight for the next title shot.
I am a big fan of Paul Burchill, I see that he had a dark match before the Smackdown taping this week which he won, will Burchill be returning to Smackdown soon? Also any word on Harry Smith and Steve Lewington as to whether either of them will be coming up to WWE soon?
I haven't heard word, but to be honest, dark matches sometimes don't mean a thing. There's been a lot of talent that works house shows and dark matches for weeks, only to end up back in OVW without every appearing on TV. Sometimes it is because WWE doesn't feel the talent is ready, and sometimes it is because WWE Creative doesn't have anything for them. So, don't get your hopes up for anyone returning or debuting on WWE TV until you see it, or hear that WWE is filming vignettes for them.
I recently watched the Memphis Wrestling show with the Hogan, Lawler build up and caught Hogan's promo. I don't know about you but I thought it was great and had shades of his glory days. Why do you think he is so charged or is it just proof that wrestlers aren't allowed to do their own promos in WWE?
I don't know if it was that great, but I do think it proves the point that sometimes a simple storyline is the best. Hogan is angry that the old footage of Lawler beating him was shown on TV in Memphis. He wants to beat Lawler and "create a new piece of footage" for them to show. Lawler accepts the challenge, and we've got a match. Simple, but effective.
