Who, in your opinion is the best wrestler to never win a world title in the modern era? My picks are Owen Hart and Scott Hall.
I guess it depends on your definition of "modern era" and also what you consider to be a "World Title". Since you asked for my opinion, I will say Dean Malenko, Owen Hart, and Fit Finlay are amongst my favorites in more recent times to not to win any form of a "World Title" in the U.S. Of all time, the answer is Bruiser Brody.
Is there a chance of Flair vs. Sting from the first Clash appearing on the upcoming Four Horsemen DVD?
No chance. The match is not going to be included on that DVD release. Apparently, WWE went looking for the master of that match for inclusion on The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection DVD, and when searching through the WCW tapes, were unable to locate it. I haven't heard anything about them finding it yet.
Will the Royal Rumble Anthology be available in 4 separate volumes like the Wrestlemania Anthology, or is it only available in the big box set?
Right now, it is only being offered as one big set. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point they break it down into separate volumes, but for now, they are looking to sell it to the diehards that will shell out the money for the complete set, so there are no announced plans for separate volumes.
I was surprised by the recent Q & A response suggesting that Heenan, Flair, or Gagne should induct Curt Hennig and that Larry Hennig should accept. I was surprised not by the names of those who could induct him, but by the choice for who should accept on his behalf. Just going by the past inductions of John Studd, JYD, and Eddie Guerrero, I assumed Curt's widow and/or children would accept the award on his behalf. Of course, this would allow Larry Hennig to induct Curt. Do you think it would be more appropriate for father or widow/children to accept? Personally, I would rather see Larry Hennig, but I think WWE may ask Curt's widow and/or children to accept for Curt.
We'll find out in a few weeks. What might make the most sense is to have the whole family there, and let Larry speak on behalf of them.
Seeing how the tag division is so abysmal as of late I decided to watch a few older titles to remember the good ol' days. In your opinion or maybe you have the financial facts....What team made the most money all together? This is not to include a faction (such as NWO or DX) I am speaking of tag teams not affiliated in a faction, just two men and possibly a manager. I was thinking the Road Warriors, The Hart Foundation (prior to their 4-6 man faction days) or Demolition. And this would not only include merchandizing but also other things such as signings, speaking events, or even putting butts in the seats - there was a time that tag teams could headline an event or at least be #2 on the card.
It's the Road Warriors, hands down. They have very lucrative contracts in Jim Crockett Promotions (Paul Ellering, simply for being their manager, was making more than Four Horseman members Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson at one point), and then signed big money deals with the WWF. They also sold tons of merchandise, from Shirts to toys to posters. They also had a separate deal with All Japan Pro Wrestling for most of their career that paid them as much as mega-stars like Brusier Brody and Stan Hansen. There was also a period where they were the main drawing card for the AWA and NWA, and a regular part of the main event picture.
