Do you think Triple H could make an appearance at WrestleMania 23 just to get a pop from the crowd?
It wouldn't shock me and I would have no problem with them having him appear. Plus, if he is going to make it back by SummerSlam, which is the hope right now, it would be a good time to show his face to the audience again. I just hope that when he does come back, WWE keeps the new direction that they have started since he left and integrate him back into the show instead of making him part of it. Raw has been a much better show of late and I would hate to see it go back to being dominated by one or two people when he comes back.
I'm curious to know what are the differences between the backstage environment at a WWE house show and a Raw/Smackdown/PPV.
House shows are much more laid back that TV shots. There are less people there, such as the McMahons, creative and the TV crews. At the tapings there is more tension since they have to put on a TV show, and with the constant changes in creative that happen most days, it can be stressful for everyone. The talents have to be at the TV tapings earlier as well. The house shows are more laid back and are run by the agents/producers.
I just spent several great hours reliving Wrestlemania III through the new DVD release of the event. I have one question about the DVD. The old WWF logo is seen throughout the release, including the actual cover. Why did WWE not blur the emblem on this specific release, and is this a sign that it won't be blurred on future releases (like the upcoming Royal Rumble set)?
WWE can legally use their old "block" logo. What they can't use is the "scratch" logo that was popularized during the Attitude era because they lost the rights to it in a British court after the judge ruled against them in a lawsuit brought by The World Wildlife Fund, which led to the company changing its name to World Wrestling Entertainment. The sad part is, the two then-WWFs had come to an agreement that would have let WWE use the name but Vince McMahon chose to ignore the terms of the deal they made and thus lost the rights to his company name in court. It was not his finest moment.
I was watching Prison break on Fox the other day and noticed the name Kevin Dunn listed in the opening credits....is this the same Kevin Dunn of WWE "fame"? Also, have you ever considered adding the option of "didn't see/order show" to the poll results? I have often wondered what that % would be for some shows.
Nope, that is a different Kevin Dunn than the one who is the Executive Producer for WWE. With all that WWE's Dunn has on his weekly plate, he doesn't have time for much else. Producing three TV shows a week is a lot of work, and that doesn't count PPVs and the internet shows.
As for the polls, we have thought about it but decided that the purpose of the polls is to find out what people who actually watched the show thought about it.
I was just curious as to what the whole story was in regards to Jerry Lawler and Andy Kaufman. Was the entire feud a work or was there any part of it that was real?
The entire thing was a work. Kaufman wanted to do a wrestling angle and Lawler was more than glad to be a part of it. None of it was "real".
