With all the talk of TNA doing house shows and more PPV's outside of Orlando, do you think they'll ever make there way to New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom (Manhattan Center)? I'm sure that they could sell that building out.
I absolutely think TNA will eventually take a crack at the New York market, and the Hammerstein Ballroom would probably be the best venue for them to run in Manhattan. I would think the first step would be a house show, just to see how it draws and what kind of crowd they get, then go for a PPV. Obviously, it we're talking about down the road, not the immediate future, but I could see TNA doing it as they continue to grow and branch out.
My question is what do you think of other sites such as (name withheld) and other sites ripping stories off of your site or posting false stories on their sites?
I took the name out of the question because, quite honestly, I have no desire to plug an inferior site. Sites ripping off PWInsider.com is going to happen, simply because those sites don't have any sources of their own for news, so they have two choices: Take it from other sites or make it up. It's frustrating, but it isn't like Dave (who is the sole owner of this site) is going to file lawsuits again 13-year-old kids who are creating "cut and paste" sites in their bedrooms. The false stories, especially when they attribute them to this site, is much more annoying, since it often puts us in the position of having to address (and deny) things that were never reported here. Bottom line, if you don't see or hear it on this site, then it wasn't reported by us.
I was thinking. TNA always talks about getting an second hour of TV soon, but how come they can't just use the replay time on Saturday for there second hour. WWE doesn't have replays of their shows and it seems to do well, plus the fact that they already do flashbacks on the current show of last week's program?
I've often felt that TNA could make better use of that Saturday replay slot, and that even sticking Xplosion (which is being produced anyway for international markets and the web) in there would be better than just rerunning the Thursday show. That said, I believe it is part of the arrangement with SpikeTV that there be a replay, so I don't expect it to change soon.
Settle a bet - is the throat slash Chris Benoit does a tribute to Arn Anderson?
I don't know if it is a tribute or not, but I have been told that Benoit picked it up from his former Horseman partner.
Ok, first a comment. I recently picked up a DVD of Japanese Hardcore Wrestling Vol. 10 featuring Buck Woodward on commentary and it was awesome and the commentary was insightful. Now the question what is the wildest match any of you guys (particularly Buck) have ever seen. I actually enjoyed the 6 man match on this DVD.
First, thanks for the compliment. I didn't even know there was a Vol. 10 on DVD! And before anyone thinks this is a cheap plug, I have nothing to do with the DVD releases and don't get residuals from them. As for the wildest match I have ever seen, that is a really tough question. What immediately comes to mind is some of the crazy brawls that the Dudleys had with various combinations of New Jack/Spike Dudley/Balls Mahoney/Axl Rotten/Kronus in ECW. Seeing Terry Funk and Sabu entangled in barbed wire was pretty wild in a totally different way. There's been some crazy CZW and Big Japan matches that were totally insane in terms of brawling, violence and destruction as well. It really is tough to pick one.
