In the late 1990's I remember a few professional photos of Shawn Michaels wearing an nWo shirt at what I believe was a WWF photo shoot were leaked via the internet. Was WWF planning an angle, or just trying to stir up discussion?
I recall the photo in question, but it was a photo that was taken of Michaels by an independent photographer, not something that WWE shot or leaked. It was a big deal among fans at the time because of how hot the WWF vs. WCW rivalry was at the time, but there was never anything more to it than what it was.
I have always suspected that Triple H's latest quad injury was a work and they planned to give Shawn one last run and that Triple H will come back turn heel and take the belt from Shawn. The other thing that makes me believe this is that according to IMDb.com, Triple H has begun production (last week it said "pre-production" this week says "in production") on a modern western movie called JORNADA DEL MUERTO. I find it very fishy that he can shoot an action packed film like this with a torn quad. Also, up until a few days ago, there were other wrestlers supposedly slated for the film (Mark Calaway, Steve Austin, Glen Jacobs, etc.), but have since been removed from the cast.
HHH's injury isn't a work in the least. In many cases, IMDB.com is susceptible to incorrect information since anyone can update information. While HHH has been attached to the Jorndad del Murto film at one point, it's nowhere near being produced at this time and HHH isn't working on the film, but working towards his in-ring return.
What happened to SHIMMER? I see they canceled a live show.
SHIMMER postponed their next live date until April due to a conflict with the venue. For more information on the company, visit www.SHIMMERWrestling.com.
Now that the initial 3 WWE films are done with the third about to be released, are there any rumors about any new flicks on the horizon?
I haven't heard of any definitive projects, but they have other properties in mind. Linda McMahon has stated in the past that they won't produce any additional films without having distribution agreements in place before production, so I assume we'll hear about WWE making distribution agreements before we hear much else in the way of news on future projects.
Where did WWE get the footage from the Pacific Northwest territory for the Roddy Piper DVD set?
I am told that Piper's management team acquired the rights for the footage and it's not a case of WWE purchasing another library.
