I was just wondering why Ring of Honor doesn't acknowledge the fact that A.J. Styles was their first pure wrestling champion on their website (under title histories). I know he had to forfeit the title because of the whole TNA thing, but shouldn't the credit be given? Just something I've always wondered!
I believe at the time, the company just felt that acknowledging that the first Pure champion had been stripped of the belt would have demeaned it's credibility, so they just didn't mention it and over time, kept it that way. Since the title was later unified with the ROH belt, it's a moot point.
So with Morishima's win does this mean Homicide is also on his way out of ROH? I think it sucks for the ROH fans but like you guys have said if TNA wants to compete with WWE then they have to lock up their talent and compensate them enough not to work there. I hope that also means a push for Homicide and LAX.
The reality is that Homicide and other TNA talents will no longer be appearing on all ROH events, at some point. When that time comes really depends on when TNA will start running regular house show events, because talent can't be in the same place at the same time and really. Names like Homicide will still appear from time to time in ROH, but they won't be regulars when that time comes.
So what does TNA's rating on Thursday mean for their future with SpikeTV?
One bad rating isn't going to hurt their standing with the network, as long as they return to their former level. The only thing I think will change is any talk of the company going head to head with WWE weekly. TNA just isn't there yet.
Are there any other WWE Films coming out after the Steve Austin movie?
Not at this time. Linda McMahon has noted numerous times that while they have other scripts and ideas, they aren't moving forward with production on any films unless they have feature film distribution in place. They are also developing some entities to be released directly to cable and DVD.
Why does TNA insist on having a parody of Big Dick Johnson in the Fait, Oily Guy? If we don't want to see him in WWE, we certainly don't want to see his parodied on the "alternative" wrestling show.
Unfortunately, it's just one of those things that Vince Russo believes creates fan interest when in reality, all the appearance of Oily Guy has done with make TNA fans reject his appearance and make stop Christy Hemme's momentum.
