What is up with all of these WWE errors? I first noticed on the History of the WWE Title DVD that they listed Johnny Valentine as a commentator, but it was actually Johnny Valiant. Then on the AWA DVD, Rod Trongard is listed as Ron Trongard. Now, on the Survivor Series DVD, in the extras, Michael Cole says the One Man Gang is dead! Why doesn't WWE hire people who know wrestling and the history of the business??????
You'd think they could hire at least one. I've often said on Elite Hotlines that it would be worth WWE's time to bring in one "super fan" on the payroll just to work as a fact-checker and be on the lookout for errors like the ones you described. In the case of One Man Gang, I think Michael Cole and everyone who was involved in the production of that segment should be embarrassed and ashamed, since not one of them thought enough of their work to actually go and check to see if he was really deceased. I'm sure they wouldn't like it if someone put out a DVD and mentioned that a member of their family was dead that really wasn't.
What are the chances of some of the legendary British wrestlers making the WWE's Hall of Fame one day? I know they weren't part of the WWE but neither was Verne Gagne and he was inducted. I think guys like Giant Haystacks and Big Daddy are deserving of a place. Your thoughts?
I think the chances are pretty slim. Unless you made a mark in North America, WWE doesn't seem to give you much consideration. If Japanese legends like Antonio Inoki, Tiger Mask and Jumbo Tsuruta (who did have U.S. success) aren't in the Hall Of Fame, I don't see Big Daddy or Giant Haystacks getting a nod.
Since Rey Mysterio defended his WrestleMania title shot last year against Randy Orton at "No Way Out," what is the likelihood that Undertaker will defend the title shot at the same PPV this year against Shawn Michaels?
Slim, since just before reading this email, it was revealed what Undertaker will be doing at No Way Out. Seriously, while it won't be happening at that PPV, it is certainly possibly that Taker will "put the title shot on the line" against Michaels or another contender before Wrestlemania takes place.
Where does CM Punk stand as far as Wrestlemania is concerned? From a guy that will be there live, I'd really like to see him wrestle. Do you think they'll have another Money In The Bank ladder match? I could see him in that match, or maybe the ECW Title match?
Honestly, given his current push (or lack of one), I see little chance of Punk getting an ECW Title match at Wrestlemania. His best bet for being included in the card, at least at this point, will be in a Money In The Bank ladder match or another multi-person bout. Personally, I like the MITB concept, and would like to see it again (with Punk included), but if WWE goes in the direction of having an MNM vs. Hardys TLC match (which is one of a thousand Wrestlemania rumors floating around), I don't think they should have two ladder matches on the show.
What are the plans for Stone Cold as of right now? Is he going to be involved at Wrestlemania at all? It's pretty much decided now that he won't be wrestling Hulk Hogan, but will he be there to give a guy or two some Stunners?
Considering that The Condemned opens in theatres at the end of April, I can all but guarantee that Steve Austin will make some sort of appearance at Wrestlemania. Much like The Marine before it, expect a ton of commercials and video packages about the movie, and at least a few Austin appearances on Raw to promote it. It would seem to make sense for Austin to at least give someone a Stunner while he is there, since you know they will be pushing the film that night.
