Since Raw is lacking women with wrestling talent to fight for Mickie James' title, do you see them putting Jillian Hall on Raw or bringing back Beth Phoenix?
It would certainly make sense. I have heard that Phoenix was being prepped for a Raw return so it wouldn't surprise me for her to come back and add some depth to the division. Then again, having great women's wrestling matches isn't exactly a high priority for WWE creative. Don't get your hopes up too high here.
I was watching some old TNA matches from the Asylum at the Nashville Fairgrounds. It appeared to me like the venue was much larger and arena-like with multi tiered seating. What was the capacity of the Asylum compared to the Impact Zone?
The Nashville Fairgrounds, which held at least a few thousand people, is certainly bigger than the Impact Zone. It was also more of an arena since it housed larger vents than their current home does. You can find out more on the Fairgrounds at this link.
With Kurt Angle now in TNA, which WWE wrestlers do you believe would have a shot in MMA? I think I read somewhere about Shad Gaspard having an impressive MMA record.
There are a lot of really tough guys in wrestling, for sure, but honestly unless a guy has trained for years to fight and learned a few disciplines, I don't think any of them would have a real "shot" in MMA. A few guys, like Sean O'Haire, have tried to go into MMA and haven't had much success because they are going against people who have trained for years to fight. It's kind of like when Brock Lesnar thought he could jump right into the NFL a few years ago. It's just not that easy to go into another sport like that.
Back in 2004, Kane supposedly "crushed Shawn Michaels' Larynx" during a spot on Monday Night RAW. My question is, what method was used to produce the "blood" that was coming out of Shawn Michaels' mouth? It seemed like an awful lot of blood for something as simple as a blood pouch.
They used the old "bag of blood" gimmick (which is sometimes a condom). I don't know if they had a different kind of "blood" that interacted more with saliva, but it was definitely a packet.
I heard some story yesterday my friends were talking about back in the day Vader was on a TV program over seas, the reporter interviewing him said something about wrestling being fake on the air, and Vader assaulted the guy and was suspended from the WWF. What is the full story with this?
Vader was appearing in Kuwait on a WWF tour in April of 1997 when he was booked on the "Good Morning Kuwait" TV show with The Undertaker. The host of the show, Bassam Al Otham, did the "is wrestling fake" bit and Vader stood up and grabbed the guy near the neck and said he was not there to be insulted (you can see it on YouTube by clicking here) and intimidated the hell out of him. Vader was then detained for about a week by Kuwaiti authorities while the case was reviewed to see what would be done legally. He was "held" in a five star luxury resort with great food and drink before being released and allowed to return to the US. I believe he had to go to Kuwait for a trial and paid a minimal fine for his actions. Bassam sued the WWF and settled out of court.
