In the Hulk Hogan anthology when they showed the match he had against the Rock he came out to some other music they seemed to edit in it when I distinctly remember him coming out to the NWO theme Why did they change the music?
Whenever World Wrestling Entertainment changes music on DVD releases, it's likely because the rights that they hold to use the song does not include DVD releases period or DVDs released past a certain time. They may, for example, have had the rights to use the Limp Biscuit song for the Undertaker at some point, but those rights are not permanent, just for the duration of the agreement. Any footage released beyond that point would have to have the music edited off, unless WWE wants to risk a lawsuit. Being that they were sued by and later settled out with Harry Slash over several ECW themes that were allegedly used without clearance, my guess is that if there's anything questionable at all musically, they edit it off first and ask questions later.
Do you know if WWE owns CM Punk's name?
I believe Punk owns the name as he's been using it for years prior to signing with WWE.
With it being so glaringly obvious that Rob Van Dam has his eye on TNA, and the first steps towards WWE's inevitable burying of him already visible, what do you think of the idea of Rob simply refusing to show up for work, rather than come in, be paid and get TV time but have his character buried worse than Bret Hart's? I was wondering if this is actually legal by the terms of his contract, whether you think he'll do it, and whether you think he SHOULD do it, considering he wouldn't be able to work for TNA for another year or so.
A lot can happen between now and the expiration of Van Dam's contract. I think the idea of him sitting out the rest of his deal would be a foolish and dumb move on his part if he actually did it. He'd be forfeiting what WWE is obligated to pay him, not to mention any back royalties that would have owed him up until that point. Rob is a smart guy and if he was going to leave, my opinion is he'd just bide his time until the contract renegotiation came along.
I was just wondering why Tough Enough (series 2 and 3) never got released on DVD? Was a reason given?
My guess is that MTV, which released the first season, decided that the sales weren't strong enough to suit releasing the later seasons.
I know that VKM getting a shot at DX isn't going to happen (and shouldn't) but with HHH hurt, what do you think of the idea of the WWE doing a one show deal and having Rated RKO invade Impact, challenge VKM and beat them that night so they can claim that they destroyed all chances of a DX resurrection and finally "killing" DX? I think its a win win situation. It gives TNA a small push in the ratings but not to much, it ends the stupid VKM vs. VKM angle, it shows that WWE is still superior and it gives Edge and Orton another boost in popularity not to mention major heel heat).
It's never going to happen. WWE is never, ever going to allow any of their talent to appear on a competing show for what they view as a lesser promotion. Vince McMahon would sooner shave his own daughter's head than allow that. It will never, ever happen.
