PWINSIDER Q & A: BAD BACKSTAGE DECISIONS IN WWE, GETTING VINCE'S HEAD, HHH AIN'T STUPID, ONE MORE TITLE RUN FOR EDGE AND MORE

With the injury to HHH, do you think that the WWE could / should make the most of this and try to elevate a new talent to take his place? HBK still has the issues with Rated RKO, so they could play it as him needing help to prevent 2 - 1 odds. If they go this route, who should the new star be? I was hoping for CM Punk until they ruined him by having him job to Holly.

The job to Holly was then followed by a long match with Matt Striker last night, that was competitive no less.  As we talked about on the hotline last week, there are those in power with issues with Punk that I see keeping him from getting a push any time soon (the hotline is still available for those who want to listen in the Elite section).  But, yes, there is a golden opportunity to move someone up the card in Triple H's absence.  I thought that maybe they were going to move the best available guy up on Monday but then they had Khali just destroy Carlito so it doesn't look like WWE will do that.  Once again, people in management leave money on the table because of goofy impressions they get on young talents.  What they don't seem to get is that the fans like Punk and Carlito and they tend to support those that they like.  But, backstage it's about who your friends are and who you are tight with, not about whether you can draw money.  I don't understand WWE management and probably never will.

Why did Vince think the fake Rosie-Donald encounter would get coverage in the mass media? Getting the real K-Fed, and real major league baseball players battling is what gets the coverage. When Jay Leno or SNL get an imitator to do a goofy sketch the industry rarely mentions it (unless its incredibly funny).

You know, I do my best to answer the questions posed to be but this one, I just can't.  Getting into the mind of Vince and figuring out why he thinks obviously bad ideas are good ones?  I would rather try to take on something easier to explain and fix, like global warming or reducing tensions in the Middle East.

HIGHLY Unlikely... But WHAT IF... Triple H tried to go to the TNA House Show in Birmingham on the 20th... If I remember correctly he is expected to still be in town. Think that Trips has the intestinal fortitude and unmitigated gal to try and crash a TNA show? Do you think that VKM have the nerve to try and catch HHH outside (or even inside) the clinic he is being treated at?  If HHH did go to the show would TNA exploit the heck out of it? Would Vince Disown HHH? There are just so many different scenarios... Like I said, HIGHLY UNLIKELY... but it has my head swimming with possibilities.

Highly unlikely?  How about "downright ridiculous and stupid"?  That is exactly what it would be for HHH to acknowledge TNA at this point.  There is nothing to gain in it for he or WWE and they would be stupid to do so.  And, HHH ain't stupid.

Since Survivor Series is being held in Montreal to mark the 10th anniversary of the screwjob, do you think it's likely that Earl Hebner will be brought back to the WWE in the near future so he can participate in this event? 

He didn't leave on the best of circumstances so if I had to guess, I would go for no on this one.

Do you think they will ever put the world title on Edge again , and what are your thoughts on whether he should or not ?

I could definitely see Edge having another title run and I think he should get one.  He was the best heel on Raw all last year and still the top all around heel that they have on the brand.  I think he definitely deserves another run with the title.
